18-year-old Cassius Clay wins the light heavyweight title at the 1960 Rome Olympics.
Former BBC boxing commentator Harry Carpenter describes how an American colleague tipped him off about Clay's talent but warned "he's very flashy".
Clay changed his name to Muhammad Ali on converting to Islam and became known as 'The Greatest', becoming the first man to win the world heavyweight title three times.
