Ulster Club quarter-final: Slaughtneil 0-12 0-07 Derrygonnelly
Derry title winners Slaughtneil moved into the Ulster Club Football semi-finals by beating Derrygonnelly by five points at Celtic Park on Sunday.
They had led six points to five at half-time and took charge after the Fermanagh men had Paul Ward sent-off for two yellow cards.
Paul Bradley landed five points for Slaughtneil while Derrygonelly managed just two scores after the break.
Slaughtneil have already landed this year's hurling and camogie titles.
They will attempt to take another step towards a remarkable treble when they come up against Tyrone champions Killyclogher in the semi-finals on 13 November.
The first half had been a tightly-contested affair - Paul Bradley (4), Francis McEldowney and Patsy Bradley scoring for the hosts and Garvan Jones (2), Leigh Jones, Ryan Jones and Garvan McGinley replying for the back-to-back Fermanagh champions.
Cavan referee Noel Mooney became the focus of attention as he brandished two black cards and one red in the early stages of the second half.
Patsy Bradley of Slaughtneil got the first black for hauling down Ryan Jones and Derrygonnelly's Maurice Cassidy quickly followed him off the field for a similar misdemeanour.
Derrygonnelly forward Ward got the red card when a foul under the nose of the referee brought him a second yellow.
Shane McGuigan (2), Paul Bradley, Cormac O'Doherty, Karl McKaigue and Barry McGuigan added to Slaughtneil's tally, with Leigh Jones and Garvan Jones getting Derrrygonelly's two second-half scores.
