British Superbikes: Irwin makes podium in final round
Carrickfergus rider Glenn Irwin secured third spot in race one as the 2016 British Superbike Championship came to an end at Brands Hatch.
Irwin was seventh and 17th in the other two races while Michael Laverty came in 11th before two 16th-place finishes.
Alastair Seeley finished ninth, 12th and 13th at the English circuit.
Keith Farmer was second and Josh Elliott fifth in the Superstock 100 race while Carl Phillips was third in the Superstock 600 event.
Phillips finished second in the championship standings while Farmer was third and two places above Elliott in the Superstock 100 series.
Toomebridge man Laverty was the best of the Northern Ireland trio in the superbikes with eighth place.
