Down minor captain Caolan Mooney has been called into the county's senior panel for the All-Ireland qualifiers.

Mooney has signed a contract to play for Australian Rules side Collingwood next season.

The youngster has helped St Colman's Newry win two successive All-Ireland Colleges Hogan Cup titles.

He is one of the most talented young gaelic footballers in the country and James McCartan has opted to give him his chance at senior level.
