Loughborough Lightning have signed England international mid-court player Sasha Corbin for the upcoming season.

Corbin, who can play wing attack or centre, has featured 53 times for her country and joins the Lightning from Hertfordshire Mavericks.

"I'm very excited to be joining Loughborough this season," said Corbin.

"I'm also delighted to be working with (head coach) Karen Atkinson again. I've worked with her in the past and I think she's a fantastic coach."

Corbin is the second England player to join Lightning in the space of a week, after Jade Clarke re-signed for the club after a five-year stint in Australia.

Atkinson said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching her in the past and I know she will bring the intensity, professionalism and high standards we are continuing to strive for here at Loughborough.

"She is an exceptionally talented player."
