British MotoGP rider Bradley Smith has agreed a new one-year deal to remain with the Tech3 Yamaha team in 2016.
Oxfordshire rider Smith's new deal was announced ahead of the Great Britain MotoGP at Silverstone on Sunday.
The 24-year old is currently fifth in the overall championship standings in his most successful season to date.
"I've proven my worth to this team and I hope to take the confidence I've gained over the last six months into next season," he told BBC Radio Oxford.
Smith has finished no lower than eighth during the 2015 season so far and is the leading British rider in the championship.
After competing in the Moto2 class for two seasons, Smith moved up to MotoGP in 2013.
