Michael Dunlop will have his first competitive outing in a sidecar at this weekend's Scarborough Gold Cup meeting.
The 23-year-old Ballymoney man will drive a sidecar owned by multiple Isle of Man TT winner Nick Crowe, but his passenger has not yet been announced.
Dunlop tested a sidecar for the first time at the Jurby circuit on the Isle of Man last year and had considered racing on three wheels at the IOM TT.
Dunlop will also ride solo machinery at Scarborough this weekend.
He had hoped to race at the English course earlier in the season, but was unable to do so because of his solo commitments.
Dunlop has enjoyed a successful season, which included a TT win, a Southern 100 solo championship success and two Ulster Grand Prix victories.
