Poole Pirates promoter Matt Ford hails Belle Vue win

Poole Pirates promoter Matt Ford has praised his side after they secured a shock win over Belle Vue on Monday.

Poole, who were without Darcy Ward, Davey Watt and Christian Hefenbrock, come from 27-33 down to win 46-44, with Renat Gafurov taking 12 of the points.

"Renat will be happy as he rode well tonight, we needed that robustness as we're without Darcy and Dave," he said.

"[Manager] Neil Middleditch kept the boys focussed and they delivered. I am pleased with that result."

Poole now sit second in the Elite League table, just three points below Eastbourne, who they face at Wimborne Road on Wednesday.
