Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith says Sunday's podium finish at Silverstone proves he is capable of success in Moto2 this season.
Smith came from 28th on the grid to finish second and move up to seventh in the Championship.
"It is a dream race to start at the back and make way my through and finish second," Smith, 20, told BBC Oxford.
"It's given me such a confidence boost and this result will prove to other teams that I'm more than a worthy guy."
This is Smith's first season in Moto2 having competed in the 125cc Championship last year, and the Tech3 racer says he is looking to build on Sunday's success.
"We still have three races in the next few weeks before the summer and we want to try to finish in the front group and look for a podium finish before the break," he said.
"The team are working hard, so it's all interesting and means I'm on the up, which is great for everybody.
"Making this bike work is a project I've been working on this year, so I look forward to making it even better."
