Cal Crutchlow will race at Assen this weekend a week after an operation on his broken collarbone.
The 25-year-old fractured his left collarbone in five places at Silverstone a fortnight ago and has had a metal plate inserted.
His Tech 3 Yamaha team-mate Colin Edwards finished third in that race despite the same injury.
Crutchlow said on his Twitter account: "I have been passed fit to ride this weekend at Assen after an operation."
The Coventry-born rider is one of three MotoGP riders to suffer a broken collarbone in recent weeks; Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa misses his third race in a row this weekend and is replaced by Japan's Hiroshi Aoyama.
Crutchlow confimed that he had a plate and seven screws inserted into the fracture and said: "I can only try my best."
