    Djokovic 6-2 6-2 Anderson

    Hear hear, Novak.

Djokovic has been working the O2 crowd like a cabaret singer by the way, doing plenty of positive PR by posing for what feels like hundreds of selfies with delighted fans.

Oasis blaring out in the background. Some Might Say that Novak we find a brighter day tomorrow...

  3. 'Let the better player win'

    Djokovic 6-2 6-2 Anderson

Facing Novak Djokovic in tomorrow's final is young German star Alexander Zverev - a rematch of Wednesday's group match.

After a very physical and close first set, the 31-year-old Serb ran away with the second to beat him 6-4 6-1.

"I played very well in the group stage against Sascha but I don't think he was close to his best," Djokovic says.

"He had a great match today against Roger today and he has been serving well, so it will be a similar approach as today, trying to get as many first serves back.

"It is the last match of the year for both of us so let the better player win."

  5. Some of your best serving? Possibly

    Djokovic 6-2 6-2 Anderson

We know Djokovic is one of the best returners that the sport has ever seen, but it is his serving which has stood out this week.

Is it some of the best serving he's ever done? Annabel Croft asks.

"Possibly. It is not very common to serve more aces than Kevin. That stat helps the confidence."

  6. Djokovic 'pleased with high level'

    Djokovic 6-2 6-2 Anderson

More from Novak Djokovic: "I'm very pleased I'm able to play at a high level consistently week after week for the last six months.

"A lot of players are tired coming into the final part of the season but this is one of most important tournaments to us. I'm very happy to reach the final."

  7. Post update

    Djokovic 6-2 6-2 Anderson

Kevin Anderson, by the way, walked off court to a thunderous round of applause. And deservedly so following the finest year of his career.

Reaching the Wimbledon final after that epic win after John Isner, claiming a career-high ranking of fifth in the world, plus a couple of tour titles in New York and Vienna.

  8. Post update

    Djokovic 6-2 6-2 Anderson

Novak Djokovic on comfortably dispatching semi-final opponent Kevin Anderson:

"I think it was the best match I've played so far this week - it came at the right time. Kevin has been playing great tennis this week.

"He lost serve in the first game which was big because he relies so much on his serve. I tried to win as many points on his second serve as possible. It worked very well."

Pfff. Incredible stuff from Novak Djokovic. The world number one cruises into tomorrow's final...

  15. Post update

    *Djokovic 6-2 5-2 Anderson

Novak Djokovic is just suffocating Kevin Anderson with the volume and venom of his returning.

Anderson, understandably, miscues a second serve as he chases the match, helping Djokovic force deuce.

But full credit to the South African who digs deep to stave off his opponent and hold.

    Djokovic 6-2 5-1 Anderson*

The only thing Anderson can hope for now is to hold here and make Djokovic serve this match out.

Looking like he has a chance as he moves 30-15 ahead...

  17. Post update

    Djokovic 6-2 5-1 Anderson*

If Djokovic loses his serve here then I'll... I'll... I'll pay for all of you to go to the O2 next year.

Phew. The Serb rattles off a hold to love in about the same time as it takes you to have a swig of your coffee. And saves me a lot of money.

    *Djokovic 6-2 4-1 Anderson

Anderson fights off one, but another Djokovic forehand brings up another break point...

The South African sends his first serve wide, well wide, and then is dragged into another baseline brawl.

Djokovic lands the knockout punch with a rocket of a cross-court forehand that is greeted with a grizzly bear-like roar.

But then Anderson is left stunned by more brilliance from Djokovic.

The Serb forces deuce and then racks up another break point...

Anderson hammers a serve down the middle which most people on the planet would not be able to reach... Djokovic does - but can't get it back over the net.

  20. Post update

    Djokovic 6-2 3-1 Anderson*

    Kevin Anderson

Kevin Anderson is starting to look a little like me after I've been to the gym on a hangover. Sweaty, bewildered, confused... and simply thinking 'why?'.

But he's more talented and mentally resilient than I'll ever be. And he shows it by fighting back from 15-0 down, coming forward to the net and then hammering down an ace for a 401-5 lead...
