  3. Elsewhere in Davis Cup...

Great Britain are out but there's still plenty of action in this year's Davis Cup.

France are leading their tie against Netherlands 2-1 but it's all square in Sunday's first singles rubber at a set each.

Meanwhile Croatia are two sets away from the Davis Cup quarter-finals after Canada's Denis Shapovalov lost the first set in their singles rubber.

  4. Post update

Cameron Norrie is going to be a real asset for Great Britain in years to come. He's put in a sterling performance this weekend.

  5. Post update

    Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 Norrie

Three hours and 43 minutes of hard-fought tennis from both players, there. They look absolutely wiped.

Spain will go on to play Germany in April's quarter-finals, while Great Britain face a play-off in September to avoid relegation from the World Group.

  6. Game, set and match - Spain

    Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 Norrie

Spain reach the Davis Cup quarter-finals!

Cameron Norrie gave it his all but it wasn't enough, and Spain take an unassailable 3-1 lead in this tie.

  7. Post update

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-2 Norrie

Pushed wide, and Norrie clonks his return out.

    Three tie points to Spain...

  8. Post update

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-2 Norrie

A weary forehand is planted into the net by Norrie, and a big first serve helps set up another classy point.

    It's 30-0 to the Spaniard.

  9. Post update

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-2 Norrie

Applause for Ramos-Vinolas as he bounces the ball under his eyeline.

He's serving for this Davis Cup tie.

  10. Post update

    Jamie Baker

Former GB Davis Cup player on BBC Two

It would have been very easy to drift away in that game but he kept on going.

  11. Post update

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-2 Norrie

Can Albert Ramos-Vinolas serve it out?

He struggled in the first set but he's looked full of confidence this time around.

  12. Norrie holds

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-2 Norrie

One last show of fight from Cameron Norrie.

He's light-footed on his way to the net to smash a winner, but he's cut in half by a gorgeous passing shot from Ramos-Vinolas.

Nice! A backhand volley from Norrie puts him 40-30 up, and there's a yell of "come on!" as he holds.

  13. Post update

    Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-1 Norrie*

Here we go - one more game and Spain are in the Davis Cup quarter-finals.

Can Ramos-Vinolas break Norrie's serve one last time?

  14. Spain a game away from winning tie

    Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 5-1 Norrie*

He looks tired now, Cam Norrie, and Ramos-Vinolas is taking full advantage.

The Spaniard plays fluent forehands - although he dumps a volley into the net - and a double handed backhand draws the error out of Norrie.

Norrie comes marauding to the net and slam-dunks his way to 40-30, but he backhands into the net a second later.

  15. Post update

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-1 Norrie

A big cheer for Cameron Norrie as he prepares for another Ramos-Vinolas service game.

It's been a phenomenal effort from the Brit this weekend.

  16. Ramos-Vinolas goes double break up

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-1 Norrie

A swirl of the wrists from Norrie, but he can't help but guide the ball over the tramlines.

    Dominant from Ramos-Vinolas.

  17. Post update

    Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 3-1 Norrie*

Stonking forehand meets stonking forehand, but it's Norrie who clatters a heavy return into the net.

Oh, that's a miss as Norrie goes cross court, and Ramos-Vinolas has another two break points to go at...

  18. Ramos-Vinolas holds again

    Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 3-1 Norrie*

A bit scrappy this from Norrie, those signs of weariness showing as he steps in and overcooks a service return.

Into the net goes the Norrie backhand for 40-0, and Ramos-Vinolas advances to hold to love once again.

  19. Post update

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 2-1 Norrie

If you were switching over to BBC Two in hopes of seeing Talking Pictures and their documentary about Orson Welles then, er, I have bad news.

It's all about the tennis - we'll be staying with this match until the end.

  20. Norrie battles to hold

    *Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 2-1 Norrie

That's a gorgeous shot - Norrie, up on one foot, swings both his hands through a forehand and carves a winner away.

Ramos-Vinolas applauds his opponent. That's a shot and a half, and it helps Norrie on his way to a superb hold.
