There will no doubt be more fall-out from the events here today.

Video caption: Fed Cup: Play suspended as Johanna Konta leaves court in tears
  4. Oh the drama...

Just to recap, play was suspended for about 25 minutes earlier with Johanna Konta having to leave the court in tears.

Play was halted after the hosts' captain Ilie Nastase had been sent off.

Nastase caused controversy in the build-up to the tie after being heard making a derogatory comment about Serena Williams' unborn child.

Romania player Simona Halep spoke to the crowd after play was suspended to try to calm the situation down.

  5. Post update

So Konta's incredible fight back has left it 1-1 in this World Group II play-off.

    Remarkable scenes...

  7. Game, set and match

    Cirstea 2-6, 3-6 Konta

The fight in this woman is amazing.

She could have been forgiven for coming back from the break in play and melted but she absolutely refused.

    Konta celebrate win
  8. Konta holds

    *Cirstea 3-5 Konta

Blimey - the Brit keeps finding that line brilliantly - Konta has made this look easy since returning to the court.

Bear in mind, she was 3-1 down before it all kicked off earlier...

If you have just joined us, you've missed a lot.

  9. Konta breaks again

    Cirstea 3-4 Konta*

Wow - there is momentum and then there's Johanna Konta.

She takes it to 40-0 but Cirstea, who has been fighting these break points all match, takes it to deuce.

But Konta punishes her opponent with two huge forehands to take the game.

Konta's won the last three games in a row. Can she make it four?

  10. Konta holds

    Cirstea 3-3 Konta

There is determination behind every shot now.

She produces her first ace of the match to prove it...

Cirstea is looking shaken after the suspension in play.

    Konta holds.

  11. Konta breaks

    Cirstea 3-2 Konta*

Well, Konta seems to have fire in her belly after all that chaos...

A great response from the world number seven to break her opponent's serve immediately.

The rest of the British team on the side lines are on their feet.

  12. Post update

Just a reminder, it's 3-1 to Sorana Cirstea in the second set.

The first went to Britain's Jo Konta.

  13. Post update

The players have a quick word at the net and then we go into a quick warm up...

It appears we will be getting back under way soon...

Blimey! That was a bit mad wasn't it...

Let's see how they both get on after all that drama...

  14. Post update

Right - both players are back out on court...

    Players back out

  16. Post update

So having eavesdropped on a conversation between an official and Romania's Simona Halep, Johanna Konta seems to have received some verbal abuse from somewhere in the crowd.

Halep tells an ITF official that she asked the crowd to respect both players and “speak nice”.

  17. Post update

Meanwhile, Simona Halep is still signing tennis balls in the crowd...

The British team have all left the stands, perhaps to go and support their team mate?

  18. Post update

There is a lot of confusion as to what has caused this drama but it seemed that someone, possibly from the crowd, has said something to seriously upset Johanna Konta...

  19. Post update

Simona Halep is now having to talk to the home fans asking them to calm down - the world number five is having to remind them it's just a tennis match...

  20. Play suspended

Anne Keothavong is having to console her player. They have now decided to call time on the match for the moment.

    Probably for the best.
