  1. Goodbye!

So Novak Djokovic's match didn't go on for as long as us tennis fans would have liked, but at least we can all concentrate on work/life chores before tonight's other action.

Who from Group Ivan Lendl will join him in the last four? Either Dominic Thiem or Milos Raonic. Enjoy!

  3. Best I've played this week - Djokovic

    Djokovic 6-1 6-2 Goffin

But that row over a time violation was as uncomfortable as the match got for the Serb. Here's what he had to say afterwards:

"Undoubtedly I felt the most comfortable today from the two previous matches. I felt like I increased the quality of tennis compared to the other matches.

"I was preparing to face Gael and then found out it was going to be David. It was not easy for him. But he practised and, although he didn't play his best tennis today, he is a high-quality player.

"It was hard for me because you have to make certain adjustments tactically for two different players. David is very quick and with Gael, you never know what is going to come on to court. He can be unpredictable.

"I tried to put myself in the right frame of mind no matter who was stood on the opposite side of the net."

  4. Watch: Djokovic's rant (with subtitles)

The tunes blaring out in the O2 slightly drowned out Djokovic's rant earlier. But fear not, we have been working hard to get it subtitled for you. Enjoy.

  5. BBC extends Wimbledon deal

    And the big news is...

The BBC has extended its contract to broadcast Wimbledon for an additional four years, taking its partnership with the All England Club through to 2024.

The agreement means the Grand Slam remains free to air across BBC television, online and radio.

"Wimbledon is the pinnacle of the sport," said BBC director general Tony Hall.

Earlier this year, a peak audience of 13.3 million watched Andy Murray win his second Wimbledon title on BBC One.

  6. Post update

Sue Barker has a special guest in the BBC studio. It's Richard Lewis, chief executive of the All England Tennis Club AKA Wimbledon. And he's got some news...

  7. Post update

    Djokovic 6-1 6-2 Goffin

Belgium's David Goffin, the world number 11, on BBC Two: "Novak is really solid, he doesn't give any points away. He is really aggressive and returns everything. It was not easy for me, but I did my best.

"I knew it was my last match of the season, it was a pleasure to play here in a big stadium and in a nice atmosphere.

"It has been a really good year for me, I have played some good tennis and it has been the best year for me so far. Now I can have a nice holiday!"

  8. Post update

    Djokovic 6-1 6-2 Goffin

David Goffin gives a cheeky little laugh as he prepares to be interviewed by Annabel Croft in the middle of the O2 Arena. No wonder after he's just added £80,000 to his bank balance for an hour's work. Dinner in the West End on him tonight...

  9. Post update

    Andrew Castle

    BBC Sport tennis commentator

We'd all love a Murray v Djokovic final but with the semi-finals both men are likely to have, we can't take it for granted. It would be fitting for them to play each other though.

  10. Game, set and match - Djokovic

    Djokovic 6-1 6-2 Goffin

No drama. Djokovic sees off that break point and wraps up victory in an hour and nine minutes.

  11. Post update

    Djokovic 6-1 5-2 Goffin

Oh hello. This isn't what Novak Djokovic was expecting. David Goffin refuses to roll over like a cat having its belly tickled. A break point for the Belgian...

  12. Post update

    Tim Henman

Former British number one on BBC Two

The physicality is immense on the tour now - how hard they hit the ball, how they move. Goffin does have an authentic game but this afternoon has been a learning curve and he now needs to go away and work out how to qualify for the tournament outright.

  13. Post update

    *Djokovic 6-1 5-2 Goffin

If Djokovic is going to wrap this up quickly then he must do it on his own serve.

Blows are traded in the first two points, Goffin nicking a 30-15 lead with a smash that Djoko still can't get strings on even after flinging his racquet.

A mis-hit from the Serb nearly knocks a bloke's hot dog from his hand, then the world number two can't return a big serve.

  14. Post update

    Djokovic 6-1 5-1 Goffin

Novak Djokovic still doesn't look particularly happy. A thumping ace starts the game, before an unforced error leads to another icy glare at his box.

Normal business is quickly resumed as he moves 40-15 ahead, Goffin then making him wait with a rare bit of quality.

A penetrating forehand is not matched by another, however, this one landing in the tramlines. Now Goffin is serving to stay in the match...

  15. Post update

    Andrew Castle

    BBC Sport tennis commentator

Much has been made of the temperature inside here. I wonder if the central heating is automatic and has been programmed for a certain heat, but it's been milder outside than expected. Either way, it's made for some fantastic tennis this week.

  16. Djokovic breaks

    *Djokovic 6-1 4-1 Goffin

David Goffin suddenly looks quite dishevelled. Blond hair flopping about, sweaty red marks around his eyes. That's what playing Novak Djokovic does to even the world's 11th best tennis player.

A double fault at 15-15 gives a leg up to Djokovic, who seizes the chance to bound over the wall. Turning into a rout.

Aleksandra Jurkovic: No wonder Djokovic is prickly! Media and fans have been disrespectful for years and you have to be a robot to cope with that.

  18. Post update

    Djokovic 6-1 3-1 Goffin*

Djokovic racks up a 30-0 lead then moves into the net for the kill. He doesn't bank on a whopper of a Goffin backhand, however. That blitzes past him down the line, but he soon finds his rhythm again. Halfway there...

  19. Post update

    Tim Henman

Former British number one on BBC Two

When you sit back and consider the tournaments Novak has won this year, you realise how well Andy Murray has done to overtake him in the rankings.

But the way he is playing here is a confidence booster.

  20. Djokovic breaks

    Djokovic 6-1 2-1 Goffin*

The wheels are falling off for David Goffin. His serve is less potent than Wayne Rooney's right boot. Three break points for Djokovic. He just needs one. Goffin clubs a forehand that is nearer Row A than the baseline.
