  1. Post update

We may have lost one Briton today in Naomi Broady, but Andy Murray has made it through and Dan Evans is hoping to join him.

Evans is up on court 11 against German Alexander Zverev in the next hour or two. You can follow the action on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra.

But for now, from me, it's goodnight.

You have to remember that Radwanska could be world number one after this tournament and Broady matched her; out played her for the first 40 minutes or so.

That first set was obviously going to be crucial against Radwanska who ultimately got it done.

  3. Radwanska through to third round

    Radwanska 7-6 6-3 Broady

Agnieszka Radwanska speaking on court: "I'm so pleased I could come back in that first set. It was the key set. There was a lot of running and a lot of struggling but it was another two sets for me, so yay!

Radwanska on Broady: "She was serving unbelievable. 120mph serves are not easy to return."

  4. Game, set and match Radwanska

    Radwanska 7-6 6-3 Broady

That's it - Radwanska prevails. What a fight from Britain's Naomi Broady, though.

    Agnieszka Radwanska
  5. Match point

    Radwanska 7-6 5-3 Broady

Radwanska somehow turns what looks like a dead ball into a scooped winner. Marvellous.

And now, just before we hit the two-hour mark, she has match point.

  6. Radwanska breaks to serve for the match

    *Radwanska 7-6 5-3 Broady

Broady goes a bit wayward again as she places a forehand out wide. 0-15.

And then a double fault. 0-30.

    And then another one. 0-40.

Three break points to Radwanska. One is saved by Broady's serve and volley, but soon she's broken the Brit by wrong-footing her on the backhand.

The Pole serves for the match.

  7. Radwanska 7-6 4-3 Broady*

Another speedy session on Radwanska's serve.

She holds to love again, as Broady sends a skewed forehand way past the bottom corner of the court.

Broady is out performing more than anyone expected and she’s performing better than probably she expected.

  9. *Radwanska 7-6 3-3 Broady

Ace to start! Nice, Naomi. Very nice.

And she sees out the game with a serve-volley. We're back level again.

  10. Radwanska 7-6 3-2 Broady*

With one almighty ace, Radwanska holds to love and moves ahead of the first time in this set.

Let's see what Broady can do to respond on her own serve...

  11. *Radwanska 7-6 2-2 Broady

Radwanska comes charging into the net and sends a forehand winner past Broady for 0-30.

And the world number four brings up two break points with a shot which just teeters over the net. She was lucky there.

The Pole comes off best at the end of a powerful rally to take the game. We're level.

Broady is now starting to believe. She can see after the results she’s had and the effect she’s having on other players she can do it.

It’s taken her a bit of time to break into that top 100 and now she’s here, she's thinking "hmm I can actually do this".

    Naomi Broady
  13. Radwanska 7-6 1-2 Broady*

Radwanska holds to get off the mark in the second set.

A quick drinks break follows, and the duo will no doubt be plotting their next plan of attack.

  14. *Radwanska 7-6 0-2 Broady

A big, big hold for Naomi Broady.

She fends off Agnieszka Radwanska with another overhead smash.

  15. Radwanska 7-6 0-1 Broady*

Radwanska sends a poker straight backhand down the line to bring the score to deuce on Broady's serve, and now she's got break point.

Broady overpowers her opponent to take us back level.

But soon the advantage is with Radwanka again, as Broady overcooks a volley past the baseline.

The Briton gets the volley right this time, and we go back to deuce, but Randwanska's on the prowl at the net again. Deuce number four!

That was a topsy-turvy first set to say the least. Flavia Pennetta calls Radwanska the professor and we call her the ninja because you don’t know how she does it but you find yourself in a losing position.

In that situation Radwanska stole that set from Naomi Broady and that is a sign of a veteran player.

  17. Broady breaks

    Radwanska 7-6 0-1 Broady*

The players have to wait an age to restart for the second set because a gaggle of spectators are still trying to find their seats/find the toilets/find the bar. Chaos.

Once we do get underway, Broady gets off to a decent start - she nabs two points off Radwanska's serve and goes on to earn a break point.

And the Pole can only slice a forehand into the net. Broady off to flyer!

Broady was absolutely the better player in the early stages of this first set but I think Radwanska reeled her in and took advantage of a bit of a wobble and perhaps a drop in convince to let that lead slip.

You usually back the bigger server in a tie-break but you can’t underestimate the experienced Radwanska.

  20. Game and first set Radwanska

    Radwanska 7-6 (11-9) Broady

A slamming backhand across the blue floor sees Radwanska move to 10-9 and she claims her second set point.

Broady, on her own serve, watches her effort go long and the set goes to the world number four! What a battle that was.
