    So now we know two of the contenders for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award - cricketer Ben Stokes and athlete Dina Asher-Smith. The third nominee will be revealed on the BBC Radio 1Xtra Yasmin Evans Show at about 13:20 GMT. Come back then to find out who it is.

    Phil World: Stokes has to win it. He's united the country twice this year in the World Cup final and at Headingley. For me, given where this country is, that's huge. It allowed millions of people to forget about politics and enjoy the drama of sport, that's powerful.
