  1. Post update

Thanks for your company today! We witnessed a scrappy, edgy win by Edinburgh in the Challenge Cup as they defeated Wasps 9-7 to advance their quarter-final prospects.

As for Glasgow, they had enough possession and chances to win two matches in the second-half at Scotstoun but somehow contrived to lose to La Rochelle, also having a try disallowed in the last minute.

Their prospects of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup are not officially over, but they may as well be.

Now it's back-to-back 1872 Cup games as the two Scottish sides face each other in the Pro14. If Glasgow lose that match next Saturday, their season will be looking pretty bleak before we even reach 2020.

Matt Fagerson was sent off for a forearm charge, which meant Glasgow's last-minute try was disallowed

  2. 'A ridiculously wasteful performance'

    FT: Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

    Tom English

    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

Quote Message: The fact they lost this game is a joke, given how much possession they had in the second-half. They've dynamited their own European Cup prospects tonight. A ridiculously wasteful performance.
  3. 'Devastating' loss

    FT: Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Glasgow scrum-half George Horne on BBC Radio Scotland: "First-half we didn't play the conditions well enough and had to chase the game in the second-half. We weren't accurate enough or clinical enough.

"It's devastating. You think you've got a draw or a win, but you end up with a penalty and a loss."

Quote Message: I could see that happening on about ten occasions, guys leading with their arm. If you start nit-picking, you'd have to card them all, but that red card was right in this instance.
  5. Full-time- Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Glasgow's chances of reaching the knockout stages are virtually zero now.

How they've not scored in this second half given the amount of territory... But their own accuracy let them down too many times.

They thought they'd scored a sensational try to tie the game, with a conversion to potentially win it, but it was chalked off as Matt Fagerson lead with his forearm and was sent off.

Really, really disappointing night for Glasgow.

  6. Post update

We're into overtime and 14-man Glasgow have to go 60m again to tie the game...

  7. NO TRY, RED CARD

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Devastation for Glasgow and the fans inside Scotstoun.

Matt Fagerson is sent off for leading with his forearm straight into the throat of a defender.

  8. Try review

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Oh dear, the TMO is looking at this.

Matt Fagerson looks to have used his forearm to push away a defender. This doesn't look good.

  9. Try- Glasgow 12-12 La Rochelle

    Scott Cummings

They've done it! Adam Hastings needs to convert from out wide!

  10. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

One minute! Kyle Steyn almost escaped down the left wing before being chopped down! They're just outside the 22...

  11. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Three minutes. The Warriors have just crossed halfway.

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

    Peter Wright

Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: I think La Rochelle feel comfortable they can keep Glasgow out from 60 metres. They don't look like they could score from there as it stands.
  13. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Knock-on, scrum Glasgow. They've got four minutes to score a try to salvage this game. They've got to come from their own 10m line.

    Can they do it?

  14. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

La Rochelle are content to keep it tight here and run down the clock. Great game management.

  15. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Scott Cummings is the next culprit as he fumbles the ball, but Adam Hastings' pass was too high. La Rochelle have a scrum in Glasgow's half.

It just seems as though that 15-minute spell when they were camped on the visitors' line and didn't score has knocked the stuffing out of them.

    Peter Wright

Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: Glasgow need a 10 that can be a threat on the gain-line.
  17. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

Adam Hastings is not having a good game as he spills the ball. The pass from George Horne wasn't the best, though, to be fair.

Mistakes are killing Glasgow at the moment. They've been camped in the La Rochelle 22 for virtually the whole second half but haven't scored a single point. They're staring at the Champions Cup exit door...

  18. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

    Wow.

Levani Botia leathers a kick from his own 22, and it goes dead. Yes, it rolls over the dead ball line.

Scrum Glasgow all the way back where he kicked it. Almost a sensational kick, but it's turned out to be disastrous with the help of the wind and the artificial turf.

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

    Peter Wright

Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: If you don't score from such a dangerous position, it's disheartening.
  20. Post update

    Glasgow 7-12 La Rochelle

    Oh dear.

Niko Matawalu spills the ball, La Rochelle put it out and Glasgow have the lineout, but it's a squint throw and incredibly La Rochelle have survived a 15-minute spell of pressure. Great defence, though they've been very ill-disciplined and are lucky not have been further punished.
