  1. Goodnight

    FT: Bath 12-25 Saracens

So Saracens back to minus-18! Work to do to get out of trouble but it won't be long on this form.

That's all from The Rec but there's plenty of rugby to enjoy across the weekend, including tomorrow's East Midlands Derby at Northampton, and we'll have it all covered here on BBC Sport.

    Bye for now.

  2. Post update

    FT: Bath 12-25 Saracens

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall told BT Sport:

"It was a tough game in difficult conditions even though it wasn't raining.

"The first 25 minutes we had to absorb a lot of pressure but we grew into the game.

"We scored a beautiful try and generally we fronted up and had a real togetherness and tightness.

"The returning England players showed just what the club means to them."

  3. Post update

    FT: Bath 12-25 Saracens

Bath director of rugby Stuart Hooper told BT Sport:

"They executed better than we did and kept the ball better.

"We've worked on 23 guys giving ultimate effort but that itself isn't good enough to win Premiership matches.

"The players care but we need to add some threat to that in the final third of the field."

  4. Full-time

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

    Sean Maitland scores for Saracens

Saracens very good value for a comfortable win - as you might have expected with the XV they picked.

They didn't have too much chance to play but their fundamentals were so much better than Bath, defensively they were outstanding and when the chance for points arrived, they were gobbled up.

Sean Maitland's first half try turned the game around and then the precise boot of Owen Farrell was enough to give Saracens a first Premiership win at The Rec since 2016.

  5. Full-time

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

Bath are going nowhere so Tom Homer tries a Hail Mary cross-field kick that comes to naught and that's that.

  6. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

Saracens spill the ball looking for their coup de grace and Bath can clear to half-way.

The line-out is slick but then the ball dropped in midfield so Bath have a final play to try and rescue a point.

  7. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

Maul pulled down by Elliot Stooke so all of a sudden, from Bath threatening the Saracens line, they are now defending on their own 22.

Bath struggling for a losing bonus point.

  8. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

And now a huge drive to win the scrum penalty.

Bath's last chance has just been dumped into the Avon.

  9. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

The penalty goes into the 22 and Rhys Priestland carries almost to the line.

Elliot Daly makes a superb tackle as Bath spread the ball left but the breakdown penalty is conceded.

Line-out in the corner but the maul is disrupted, goes to ground and once again Saracens hold out.

    Wolf Pack at their best.

  10. Yellow Card: Maro Itoje

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

Jamie Roberts with a strong carry up the right-hand channel.

Maro Itoje, retreating, decides to flick the ball out of the tackle with his hand - he wasn't the tackler and was cynically offisde so he goes to the bin.

Saracens will have to see this out with 14.

  11. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

I say Bath still in the game but there's more chance of me shooting level par tomorrow morning than Bath turning this around.

  12. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

    Bath v Saracens

Free-kick fired high and Bath can't take it so Saracens have the ball just outside the Bath 22.

The visitors are soon into the 22 as Nick Tompkins, in no space weaves his way past several tackles.

Bath look to be stretched but Francios Louw wins a breakdown penalty to keep his side in the game. Just.

  13. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

Saracens have the scrum and Karl Dickson gives them a free-kick.

There's a bit of afters and Vincent Koch appears to nudge his head towards Lewis Boyce but the TMO only asks Dickson to have a word with both men.

Probably the right decision, wasn't too much in it really.

  14. Post update

    Bath 12-25 Saracens

Just been absolutely no way through for Bath all night.

They go to the cross-kick now and Ruaridh McConnochie is almost on the end of it but these ain't sticking for Bath the way this night has gone for them.

    Bath v Saracens
  15. Penalty: Bath 12-25 Saracens

    Owen Farrell

The penalty goes back into the Bath half and after some phases just outside the 22, Francios Louw is penalised at the ruck.

So up steps Owen Farrell from in front of the sticks and Saracens stretch the lead to 13.

  16. Post update

    Bath 12-22 Saracens

Finally some space for Bath and captain Francios Louw offloads to Sam Underhill.

He gallops up the right-hand channel and Bath are back on the Saracens 22.

But not for the first time tonight, the hosts aren't as accurate as they need to be when they have momentum, Saracens regather their defence and win a ruck penalty.

  17. Penalty: Bath 12-22 Saracens

    Owen Farrell

    This is criminal from Bath.

They lose the restart and then Lewis Boyce is found to be offside.

So Owen Farrell can return serve, 15 in from the left, 35 out and over she goes.

Six from six for our Faz.

  18. Penalty: Bath 12-19 Saracens

    Rhys Priestland

Maro Itoje has had a fairly quiet night and here concedes a penalty at the breakdown for hands in a clear ruck.

So Rhys Priestland with a chance to revive Bath and he thumps over an effort from beyond 40 yards, fairly straight.

The hosts back within a score.

    Maro Itoje in action
  19. Post update

    Bath 9-19 Saracens

Clean catch and drive from the line-out and Richard Wigglesworth smartly clears.

Just calm, composed rugby from a side well versed in dealing with pressure.

  20. Post update

    Bath 9-19 Saracens

    Tom Homer races forward

Saracens this time knock-on at a box-kick scramble and Bath have some space to work with.

Tom Homer finds a gap and races over half-way.

But again the Saracens defence is very disciplined and a few phases later, Bath are forced to kick into the 22 to find some territory.
