England will be looking for a hat-trick of autumn victories when they finish up their series at the home of English rugby next Saturday.

  3. 'I wanted the crowd to see what we're about'

    FT: England 27-19 Canada

    England coach Simon Middleton:

"It was really tough. Canada brought exactly what we knew they would do - physicality and a good engine.

"They got a well-deserved try at the end. They played a good offloading game, they asked lots of questions and we answered most of them but they just got us at the end.

"The experience we have in the pack against the inexperience we had in the backs showed today. The youngsters will learn a lot from this and that's where you need your senior players to stand up and they did.

"When Katy Daley-Mclean came on we got into our groove a bit. I was pleased with that because I wanted the crowd to see what we're about."

  5. 'Canada really put it to us'

    FT: England 27-19 Canada

Player of the match Lark Davies:

"Canada really put it to us and we had to find ways to score. To come away with a win is massive for us but we've still got lots of learning to do.

"We've got to work as a pack and we did that today. We did really well to get over the line when we did.

"It was really physical. We always know thay they're going to be athletic players and they really brought it to us today.

"Our discipline wasnt where it should have been today but we're on a learning journey."

Coach Simon Middleton isn't letting England bask in this victory, he's got the players in a circle for a team talk on the pitch.

  7. Full-time

    England 27-19 Canada

Not the best end for England, who may come away feeling they should have won by more than eight points.

The Red Roses' winning autumn campaign continues though.

  8. Converted try - England 27-19 Canada

    Courtney Holtkamp, Magali Harvey (con)

There's some confusion, but it looks like Canada have nudged the ball forward in the ruck and get one final score.

Harvey steps up to take the conversion and it's good.

  9. Post update

    England 27-12 Canada

Lark Davies wins player of the match. Add that to her two tries and it's not been a bad day for her in Doncaster.

Canada have a line-out 10m out, looking for another score. Fuamba shows her strength and is just centimetres short of the line.

  10. Post update

  11. Post update

    England 27-12 Canada

England have a scrum on their 22 and get it safely away, swinging it left and making good ground.

They send it right from the ruck, but substitute Macdonald fumbles the pass. England keep hold of it though and are up to the halfway line now.

A much easier kick for Daley-Mclean this time to add two points.

  14. Post update

    England 20-12 Canada

England attempt to chip through and Canada are straight onto it, clearing with a box kick from their 5m line.

  16. Post update

    England 20-12 Canada

A longer restart from Canada this time and Daley-Mclean looks to gain back some ground with a kick. The favour is immediately returned by Alarie and England go to run it out this time.

  17. Try - England 20-12 Canada

    Kelly Smith

Packer sends Burford through off the line-out to bring them within 10 m. Brown puts in a solid carry and England are just a few metres away now. Swift offloads to the left leave Kelly Smith with a bit of space and it's enough for the winger, who powers over in the corner.

It's a tough conversion for Daley-Mclean out on the left and she can't add the extras.
