It was a game you could never take your eyes off. It was absolutely scintillating.

The only thing it was missing was a winner...

Great cover from Wasps, but they are still scrambling.

Is this drop-goal territory for the visitors?

    Semesa Rokoduguni

  8. Post update

Five tries apiece. Is there another and a possible match-winner out there?

Bath are up to the Wasps 10-metre line via Zach Mercer shunt and bump...

But Francois Louw knocks on as he attempts to clear out.

  9. Replacement

    Wasps 35-35 Bath

And Bath will have to play the final 10 minutes without Freddie Burns. He has picked up a leg knock and makes way for debutant Alex Davies.

  10. Converted try - Wasps 35-35 Bath

    Tom Young (con Sopoaga)

    Another peach of a score!

Will Chudley's box-kick fails to find touch and Wasps return with interest as Elliot Daly picks a lovely inside line, zaps a pass inside to Joe Simpson who links up with Thomas Young for a romp under the sticks.

Lima Sopoaga does the simple task of clipping over the extras.

  11. Post update

    Wasps 28-35 Bath

Wasps are knocking on the door now.

Joe Simpson marshalling his troops and calling up the big runners.

But that is some superb work from Freddie Burns as the hosts spin wide. The Bath fly-half strips the ball in an tackle on Michael Le Bourgeois.

    Knock-on, scrum blue.

That is Le Bourgeoise's last act. Rob Miller is on with Elliot Daly heading into the centres.

  12. Converted try - Wasps 28-35 Bath

    Francois Louw (con Burns)

And Bath edge ahead once more!

This match has more twists and turns than Frodo's road to Mordor.

Francois Louw stays low and burrows for the whitewash. Jerome Garces is on the scene and spots the grounding.

    Freddie Burns with two more.

    Francois Louw
  13. Replacement

    Wasps 28-28 Bath

And Wasps respond with a double front-row change of their own with Ben Harris coming on for Zurabi Zhvania and Will Stuart on for Kieran Brookes.

Bath have also brought on Sam Underhill for Tom Eliis on the flank and Ross Batty for Jack Walker at hooker.

Dave Attswood and Nathan Catt give way to Matt Garvey and Jacques van Rooyen in the pack.

  15. Converted try - Wasps 28-28 Bath

    Charlie Ewels (con Burns)

Bath stop the rot with a score of their own.

It is helter-skelter harem scarem stuff out there.

But it is a lovely soft-handed pop-pass from flanker Tom Ellis that sends Charlie Ewels charging over from 20 metres out.

    Charlie Ewels
  16. Replacement

    Wasps 28-21 Bath

A change for Bath as Anthony Perenise replacing Henry Thomas in the front row.

  17. Post update

    Wasps 28-21 Bath

    Jeremy Guscott

Ex-England centre on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

This is Wasps at their very best. Absolutely wonderful rugby, you want to be a part of that and the crowd have come alive. Wasps are back in their rhythm and not making the errors. Simpson and Sopoaga are dictating the game here and they’ve got runners coming at pace.

  18. Converted try - Wasps 28-21 Bath

    Ashley Johnson (con Sopoaga)

Wasps are white hot. Twenty-one points in less than 10 minutes.

An absolutely superb score as Wasps sweep downfield with panache and power.

A lovely flick-on pass somewhere in there and Ashley Johnson rounds it off with a express-train inside line.

  19. Converted try - Wasps 21-21 Bath

    Zurabi Zhvania (con Sopoaga)

Whatever Dai Young said at the break...it was Al Pachino in Any Given Sunday-level good.

Wasps have just battered their way back into this with Georgian prop Zurabi Zhvania powering over from short range.

Lima Sopoaga clips over for two more.

    Zurabi Zhvania
  20. Elsewhere

    Edinburgh 33-7 Toulon

There is a big result brewing up in Edinburgh by the way.

The hosts are 33-7 up on French powerhouse Toulon early in the second half. Something is up on the Cote d'Azur and it is no good.

You can follow that one here.
