Ben: Brilliant performance from Warrington, hats off to them, best team on the day.

Lewis: Take nothing away from Warrington, they defended well and stuck to their game plan, but how different would it be if Hicks went to the big screen in the first few minutes?

  3. 'It's now a test for Justin Holbrook as a coach'

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

    Jamie Peacock

Former England captain on BBC One

It's a beautiful lift for Warrington but what can St Helens do now?

I think this a great test for Justin Holbrook as a coach, can he raise his Saints team for an attack at the Grand final?

  4. Post update

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

There are a few beers being sunk in the Warrington dressing room, as you might expect.

Enjoy it, boys, but make sure you get some water down your necks too. You'll wake up with a bad head in the morning otherwise.

Matthew: Warrington had lost their last six major finals before today, two at Wembley and four at Old Trafford. Daryl Clark had lost three Challenge Cup finals and two Grand Finals. He's earned that.

Eric: Justin Holbrook's dignified and gracious response embodies the rugby league ethos that makes it such a great game.

    BBC Red Button

Coverage on BBC One has just come to an end, but head over to the BBC Red Button where you can see more reaction to Warrington's Challenge Cup final win - and more rugby league too...

  8. 'Full credit to Warrington'

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

St Helens head coach Justin Holbrook told BBC One:

"Warrington got in front and in tough, warm conditions meant it was hard to peg them back.

"We had a few things that could have gone differently. That first 25 minutes of that second half, we threw everything at them.

"Full credit to Warrington. It was a cracking game of rugby league."

Reflecting on the Morgan Knowles try not given, Holbrook added:

"I don’t want to sound sour grapes as a coach but that’s a try, their one is a knock on and then you’re chasing a game in 30 degree heat. Big decisions like that can hurt in big games and it’s tough to take."

  9. 'A complete team performace'

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

    Jamie Jones-Buchanan

Leeds Rhinos second-rower on BBC One

It was a complete team performance from Warrington and it required everybody buying into a game plan which revolved around how much they were being criticised and how people didn't believe they could win it.

  10. 'You don't get moments like this often'

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

Warrington players celebrate in front of Prince Harry

Warrington Wolves captain Chris Hill tells BBC One:

"I can't believe it, our plan was outstanding, to do it with these boys is special.

"We know we've got a team here, we've probably not shown it in the last few weeks and everyone wrote us off. You don't get moments like this very often and to pick up that trophy up on behalf of these lads is unbelievable."

  11. Clark on Warrington's 'special' win

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

Warrington Wolves hooker Daryl Clark tells BBC One:

"I've been here three times before and walked by that trophy and it's heartbreaking but to come here as massive underdogs and get the job done like we did makes it all that special."

  12. Price 'ecstatic' with Wembley victory

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

Warrington Wolves head coach Steve Price tells BBC One:

"It had to take a special performance, they've been the benchmark team all season but we stayed at it and broke them down, I'm just ecstatic for the playing group."

  13. Post update

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

Cheers for every player lifting the trophy as it's passed down the line.

Ben Westwood, the Warrington stalwart who is retiring at the end of the season, gets a loud one.

But the biggest is reserved for Steve Price. What a job he's doing with the Wolves.

  14. Post update

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

Prince Harry hands over the Challenge Cup trophy

Warrington's co-captains Chris Hill and Jack Hughes shake hands with the Duke of Sussex, and then lift what today's all been about.

Seven years since their most recent victory, Wembley is primrose and blue once more.

  15. Post update

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

And now here come the Warrington players.

I'm surprised they've got the strength to climb those steps - they left everything out on the grass.

  16. Post update

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

The St Helens players start making their way up the steps to collect their runners-up medals.

They came into today's final at heavy favourites but they will leave Wembley beaten.

Those Super League play-offs can't come quickly enough, I'm sure.

  17. WATCH: Clark seals Warrington win

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

Here's the try that put Warrington's victory beyond doubt - it also helped Daryl Clark earn the Lance Todd Trophy, which he's just been up to the Royal Box to collect.

  18. Warrington win the Challenge Cup

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

It just wasn't St Helens' day, I'm afraid.

How different would the game have been if Morgan Knowles' early try been given? Those are the fine margins.

  19. 'They did a job on Saints'

    FT: St Helens 4-18 Warrington

    Jonathan Davies

Former Great Britain international on BBC One

It's a job well done, to beat the best side in the competition and they stuck to it, mistake free, kept possession and they did a job on Saints.
