So that's it for our coverage, and that's it for England's Test series.

Wayne Bennett's men might have been beaten on the day, but they take the series 2-1.

And you can't argue with that.

    Until next time...

  2. 'Time to dust off Great Britain brand'

Rugby Football League chief executive Ralph Rimmer, on a GB tour to the southern hemisphere in 2019: "We have still got a bit of flesh to put on the bones, but it would be exciting and looking to include the Pacific Island nations - we have one more piece to slot in, another item of commercial business to get done - sponsorship.

"Hopefully we'll get it done in the next couple of weeks."

On why the RFL is bringing back a Great Britain team: "There is a demand for it in the southern hemisphere, lots of people love the brand. Hopefully we'll bring it out in a four-year cycle. It's time to dust it off and get it out there.

"The international calendar is complex. We were keen the Kangaroos came here in 2020 in the lead up to the World Cup, that slots into place.

"We are looking good for that tour."

  9. 'We've got to keep it in perspective'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

More from England head coach Wayne Bennett: "They all gave the team something. We have talented footballers in this country - we have a healthy squad to pick from.

"I'm not happy with the performance but I accept what happened out there. You never want to see that kind of score but it happens.

"We've got to keep it in perspective, we've won two great games, won the series and played great football."

  10. Get Involved

R: For all the flak media-unfriendly Wayne gets, it has been great to see the Englanfd players step up as players and with the media (typically the NRL ones). The injury to Sam (and Sean's later on) has probably been the best thing for this team!

Joe Parkinson: Poor refereeing, allowing slow play the balls all the way through the game which stifled England. Should have been penalised from play 1. At least its a series win!

SaintsWigan: Auto pilot for 80 mins we didnt get out of 1st gear for me we never really looked like we was ever gonna trouble nz. as nz needed win for pride

  11. 'Whitehead has been outstanding'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

    Brian Noble

Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Red Button Forum

Elliott Whitehead has been outstanding and he'd probably get my vote as player of the year.

He has been outstanding week in week out in the NRL and he's an all-round performer. He truly is a superb player.

  12. 'Everyone carried the flag forwards'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

And here is England captain James Graham on the BBC Red Button: "Getting to captain your country in these circumstances wasn't that great but I'm proud of the lads.

"Credit to the Kiwis who came to play and did their nation proud.

"There's not a lot of experience in the team but everyone has taken it on and carried the flag forwards."

  13. Post update

Bit of a love-in between James Graham and Jon Wilkin, think we'll leave it at that...

  14. 'No one gave us a chance before the series'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

England head coach Wayne Bennett: "We were just outplayed, weren't as good as we had been. New Zealand were on their game and deserve the win. We had our moments, if we could have taken one of those tries it could have been different.

"We have to learn from it and accept the fact they were too good."

On a Great Britain tour to the southern hemisphere next year: "I am not sure if that's definitely going to happen or not. We have a lot players injured and have given lots of other players chances, it only makes our squad stronger. It will be a great concept if we can go to New Zealand and play those games.

"I enjoy being with these blokes. They didn't give up and kept at it. Put a bit more pressure on themselves than they should have tonight, but when the series started I don't think anyone gave us a chance, especially with the players unavailable, so it's to their credit."

  15. Post update

    England 0-34 New Zealand

    Brian Noble

Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Two

New Zealand were too big and too strong once they got 20 points on the board. They looked after the ball really well.

  16. 'Nikorima comes of age'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

    Robbie Hunter-Paul

Former New Zealand international on BBC Two

Shaun Johnson was more of the general, moving things around, while Kodi Nikorima had the X-Factor - he's really come of age in this tournament.

  17. 'Plenty of positives for England'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

    Brian Noble

Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Two

There are lots of positives for England as they build for the 2021 World Cup. They are on a magnificent roll and the quality of the players they have added to the squad is outstanding.

  18. 'Series win is the important thing'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

    Jamie Jones-Buchanan

Leeds Rhinos second-rower on BBC Two

The important thing is to get the series win, that's what people will remember not the result today. They didn't complete the sets as they did last week but they all have smiles, and they have silverware at the end of a superb season.

  19. 'New Zealand building towards the future'

    England 0-34 New Zealand

    Robbie Hunter-Paul

Former New Zealand international on BBC Two

It's a really important victory for the growth of New Zealand Rugby League. Michael Maguire had a job on his hands. New Zealand RL have put in a lot of resources into fixing the infrastructure.

    It's building towards the future.
