  1. Two down...

    FT: Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

    Brad Singleton celebrates his try

So two teams are in the hat for the semi-finals of the 2017 Challenge Cup, four teams remain.

Salford smashed Wakefield to book their spot, and Leeds Rhinos showed their ruthless best to see off Championship side Featherstone, keeping them scoreless in the face of plenty of effort.

Tomorrow sees Warrington take on Wigan, two teams off the boil but still equally dangerous, before Hull FC and Castleford - arguably the two most explosive teams in the competition - battle on Sunday.

Two games, four heavyweight sides, here on the BBC. Can't wait.

Join us tomorrow. Until then, goodnight.

  2. Challenge Cup reaction

    FT: Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

Leeds head coach Brian McDermott tells Sky Sports: "We got a good workout. In the whole of the first 40 minutes, we never really got away from Featherstone. Their effort probably caught up with them but we came up with some special plays as well."

Featherstone head coach Jon Sharp: "Leeds were excellent. Their completion percentage was up in the 80s, whereas we were at about 40% and you can't do that against a full-time team as good as Leeds."

  3. Still to come

Hull FC v Castleford (Sunday, 15:00 BST)

The last of the quarter-finals sees holders Hull FC take on Super League leaders Castleford.

Hull defeated Warrington at Wembley last August to win the Challenge Cup for the first time in 11 years.

However, their defence of the trophy will be severely tested by in-form Castleford, who are six points clear at the top of the Super League table.

We've got coverage on BBC Two, BBC Radio 5 live, BBC local radio and live text commentary on the BBC Sport website and app.

  4. Still to come

Warrington v Wigan (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

The third of this season's Challenge Cup quarter-finals is a repeat of 2016's Super League Grand Final.

Warrington and Wigan have both had indifferent seasons in league competition, so the Challenge Cup may provide their best hope of silverware this term.

There's also the prospect of Wigan and England full-back Sam Tomkins possibly returning after a long injury absence.

You can follow the game live on BBC One, BBC Radio 5 live, BBC local radio and with our live text commentary on the BBC Sport website and app.

  5. Post update

    FT: Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

    Challenge Cup

Leeds are one step closer to lifting this trophy for the third time in four seasons.

Reaction to their crushing win over Featherstone on the way.

  6. Full time

    Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

    Leeds celebrate

Leeds Rhinos ruthlessly continue their march towards Wembley in the Challenge Cup with an emphatic second-half display to see off a plucky Featherstone Rovers side.

The first half was fairly even but, as fitness told, the quality and class of the Rhinos' play was rewarded with points.

Featherstone might not have got over the whitewash but they have plenty to be proud of... they've got some huge games in the Championship to rally for - starting with Swinton on Wednesday.

  7. Post update

    Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

Sloppy couple of minutes for Carl Ablett, first a 'can't be bothered' play-the-ball and then pinged again.

    He'll be forgiven no doubt!

  8. Post update

    Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

Some mini-scuffle goes off between these two teams. Leeds winning by a huge margin would be frustrating for a Featherstone player. Time ticking down.

Meanwhile, Lee Gaskell punishing his old club... funny to think he was starting stand-off when Saints got to the 2011 Grand Final.

  9. Full-time

    Huddersfield 24-16 St Helens

All over in Super League. Huddersfield are up to seventh with a narrow win over St Helens, with Lee Gaskell's late try the clincher for the hosts.

  10. NO TRY

    Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

Awww that was the moment to cheer. But it's been denied by Ben Thaler in the satellite truck!

Featherstone deemed to have dropped that in the grounding. Might be the last real chance that.

  11. Post update

    Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

It would be really easy for Leeds to sit back on this commanding lead but their defensive integrity has not been wavered at any point.

Featherstone all a bit lateral as Leeds shut down the space... ooooooh might be a try here!

  12. Ouch!

    Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

Luke Cooper gets a Brad Singleton forearm in his face and it leaves him prone on the turf, cause for concern.

Featherstone's front rower came off worse there in that battle against his opposite number.

Applauded as he gets back to his feet. That'll be sore tomorrow. Fev get the penalty.

  13. Post update

    Huddersfield 24-16 St Helens

    Lee Gaskell

Huddersfield have surely got over the line against St Helens in Super League, with Lee Gaskell getting the Giants' fourth try with four minutes to go.

  14. TRY - Leeds 58-0 Featherstone

    Ryan Hall, con Liam Sutcliffe

    Ha ha! Good timing Phil.

Leeds have not taken their foot off the gas at any point, they had some shellackings of their own last season - one in round three against Cas this term, and that must be in their minds.

Another on the money special from Liam Sutcliffe, a perfectly-weighted kick hung up to the goal line and there was Ryan Hall to gather and plant down.

Just perfection in terms of the kick.

  15. Post update

    Leeds 52-0 Featherstone

Featherstone go for another big shift to the right, it's fluid stuff but the move comes to an end after a knock-on.

Phil has just made a good point. How often do Leeds rack up eight or nine tries in a game and Tom Briscoe, Ryan Hall or Kallum Watkins don't score?

They've all been involved in the big moments...

  16. Post update

    Leeds 52-0 Featherstone

Jack Walker is on for Leeds. He got a hat-trick on debut against Doncaster earlier in the season - that was in the Challenge Cup too.

His first real act was to get a flop from Luke Cooper! He wins his team a penalty.

  17. TRY - Leeds 52-0 Featherstone

    Brad Singleton, con Liam Sutcliffe

Two up for the big Cumbrian, Brad Singleton.

Joel Moon slipped him a soft hands pop pass from dummy half and he just bulldozed across.

No let up for Featherstone as Leeds hit 50 and surpass it too with Liam Sutcliffe's eighth successful kick out of nine.

    Liam Sutcliffe
  18. Post update

    Leeds 46-0 Featherstone

Who'd be a full-back eh? Joel Moon slings up another tester of a kick, Ian Hardman catches it but the chasing Rhinos shovel him back behind his goal line.

    What can you do?

Featherstone are still getting into tackles and working hard but the waves keep on coming and coming.

  19. Post update

    Huddersfield 18-16 St Helens

    Kyle Amor

"Game on," says BBC Radio Merseyside's Phil Kinsella, as St Helens prop Kyle Amor scores his side's third try at Huddersfield.

There are 14 minutes remaining in tonight's solitary Super League contest.

  20. TRY - Leeds 46-0 Featherstone

    Brad Singleton, con Liam Sutcliffe

What a lovely move for a rampaging Brad Singleton to score.

Adam Cuthbertson and Brett Ferres combine with a one-two wrap around play that gets Stevie Ward into space.

Ward was cut down and when the ball was recycled from dummy half, a bounce pass into Singleton's hands sees him crash over.

    Crushing stuff from the Rhinos.
