On not being able to replace Guscoth, after losing her so early in the tournament:

"I have players I can use and we know the rules coming into the tournament.

"But they may need to change, the way the game is going with physical demands of the tournament."

"I want persistence, efficiency, and for my players to stick to the gameplan.

"We still have work to do and work on combinations. We need to enjoy it and come out with a win."

    England v Samoa (11:00 BST)

England defender Layla Guscoth will play no further part in the tournament after it was confirmed she has ruptured her Achilles during Saturday's game against Scotland.

It's a huge blow for the Roses, but they have plenty of cover at the WD position, where she has been starting.

The timeless Jade Clarke takes that spot against Samoa today.
