  1. That's all for now

    Adam Whitty

    BBC South

We had a wonderful burst of Winter in mid-June this afternoon.

It capped another marvellous day at Royal Ascot, and there is only one more left.

We will be back in the saddle for a final day of coverage from 10:00 BST tomorrow.

Who knows, we could even have a Royal winner?

  2. The Queen: 60 years at Ascot as Monarch

    Adam Whitty

    BBC South

This year's Royal Ascot is the 65th since The Queen became Monarch, and she has attended the event over 300 times over those seven decades.

She attended her first just months after her accession to the throne in 1952.

Have a look at this wonderful footage from that day.

  3. 'Now we can party'

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield presented the trophy for the King Edward IV Stakes race earlier.

The 'This Morning' presenters had to be well behaved for that, but you feel they may get on the orange juices after that.

  4. Rare Rhythm strikes for Godolphin

Rare Rhythm won the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes to give Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin team their sixth win of the 2017 Royal Ascot meeting.

The five-year-old gelding (20-1), trained by Charlie Appleby, gave jockey William Buick his fourth victory of the week.

Rare Rhythm had not competed since finishing eighth after a troubled run in this race a year ago, and had warmed up with some training runs at Chelmsford Racecourse.

  8. Stradivarius stars for Gosden

Trainer John Gosden could have a Classic contender on his hands after Stradivarius hit the right note to win the Queen's Vase from runner-up Count Octave.

Gosden punched the air after victory and for the son of 2009 Derby winner Sea The Stars, who is now as low as 8-1 for the St Leger at Doncaster in September.

There's a change this year for the next race, the Queen's Vase (17:00 BST), and it means the runners and riders are competing over a shorter trip.

Down to one mile and six furlongs (or 2,800 metres) from two miles, the leading contenders include Time To Study and Desert Skyline.

Aidan O'Brien, who trained last year's winner Sword Fighter, runs Belgravia and Wisconsin while the shrewd Dermot Weld has his only Ascot entry of the week - Haripour.

  14. Royal Ascot 2017 - The official poem?

Royal Ascot 2017 has its own poem, it turns out.

Written by Henry Birtles, an official racing poet, it's rather stirring stuff.

    Ascot crowd

Spinning on its own Axis, where seas of silk lap graceful shores,

A world like nowhere else exists.

Where quintessential currents run and elegance and power converge,

And tales of timeless greats are spun and showstoppers emerge.

A world for all to celebrate; light years away from ordinary.

A world which deftly radiates its realm; and bows to the extraordinary.

Where earthly rigours found outside and lived outside are left outside.

And wishes wished are realised through all the finer tastes this land will grant.

To let its spell enchant; to walk its walk once through those golden gilded gates.

To gaze at beauty styled and beauty stitched on graceful form adorned.

To know that bay imperious Horse immortalised and cast in bronze is Yeats.

That headlines here accomplished render sporting moments starred.

This Kingdom...smiling Green Coats kindly guard; this universe beyond three centuries old.

Such elements, such pieces of a jigsaw wrought to mould this multi-coloured globe.

A blazing beacon to the most majestic sport of all where heroes rise and heroes fall,

And Royal Ascot’s world stands tallest of the tall.

  15. Caravaggio claims classy win

    Frank Keogh

    BBC Sport

The unbeaten Caravaggio claimed the sixth win of his career with a brilliant turn of foot in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

Jockey Ryan Moore bided his time before pushing the 5-6 favourite, trained by Aidan O'Brien, past the Godolphin pair of Harry Angel and Blue Point.

Moore said it felt like a very good race, while O'Brien believes Caravaggio may be the fastest horse he has trained.

It was a fourth victory of the 2017 meeting for super sire Scat Daddy.

  16. Punter's £1m bet falls at the final hurdle

A horse-racing punter who placed a seven race accumulator bet at Royal Ascot has lost out on a £1m payout after his final prediction proved wrong.

The £40 bet was placed earlier this week at Ladbrokes in Dunstable.

The first six predictions all came in, leaving the £1m payout resting on an 8/1-shot in the Commonwealth Cup this afternoon.

But the punter's hopeful Bound for Nowhere came fourth, with Caravaggio winning the race.
