James Hall and Joe Fraser compete for Great Britain in the men's all-around final on Friday.

The pair helped GB finish fifth in the team event earlier in the week, 10 marks behind dramatic winners Russia.

They will be hoping to carry on the fine form that also secured the GB team qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Hall is certainly relishing a return to the World Championships arena in Stuttgart.

"Fifth in the world is an enormous achievement and I'm so, so pleased, especially for the team," he said.

"It was incredible and I enjoyed every second of it."

Simone Biles continued to re-write the record books with a fifth all-around world title in the women's event on Thursday.

The American gymnast took her tally of medals at the World Championships to 22, extending her own record for women at the event.

Biles is now just one short of the overall record of 23, set by Vitaly Scherbo, who competed for the Soviet Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Belarus in the 1990s.

  4. Get Inspired: How to get into gymnastics

    Get Inspired

    What is Gymnastics?

Artistic is probably the most well-known form of gymnastics. Women tackle four activities, with men taking on six. These include the vault (run and spring over box), the rings (hoops suspended from the ceiling), the bars (parallel frames to swing between) among others. These activities involve you balancing and performing moves.

Rhythmic involves performing a routine to music whilst waving a ribbon or balancing a hula-hoop round your hands, feet or neck.

Acrobatic is the most energetic of all the types of gymnastics. You perform a routine combined of jumps, lifts or lunges, either in pairs or in a group.

Not sure what style of gymnastics is for you? With 15 different types, all with varying levels of difficulty, there is bound to be one to suit you.

British, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Ireland Gymnastics have tools to help you find the gymnastic activity that suits you.
