  1. Post update

    Hall & Boutier 1UP v McDonald & Yin (17)

Georgia Hall has missed. But she's been told to pick up her ball.

Angel Yin now with a par putt to save the hole for the US.

But they have just not been dropping in the last few holes and this one has also slid by the the right. What drama.

    Georgia Hall
  2. Post update

    Hall & Boutier A/S McDonald & Yin (16)

When one door closes and all that. Georgia Hall has a birdie putt to win the 16th.

What a comeback this would be....

  4. BreakingEurope 6½ - 6½ United States

Pettersen & Van Dam lose to Altomare & Park 1UP

First speck of red on the scoreboard in the fourballs.

Altomare and Park embrace on the 18th
  5. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Here we go......Suzann Pettersen steps up and send her ball down towards the cup but she's a fraction right.

Annie Park and Brittany Altomare have two putts each to ensure a US victory in this one.

    Almost inevitable.

  6. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

It turns out Anne van Dam's bunker shot was not as easy as made out....

She's a tad unlucky to carry the green but this is all on Suzann Pettersen now.

  7. Hall & Boutier level

    Hall & Boutier A/S McDonald & Yin (16)

Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier have been behind from the first hole. But they are back level thanks to a courageous 15-foot putt from wildcard Boutier.

European captain Catriona Matthew's selection of her is vindicated on that moment alone.

    Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier
  8. 'The easiest shot in golf'

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Suzann Pettersen is on the dance floor.

Her ball has dissected Annie Park's and Brittany Altomare's but I think she was expecting that to spin back towards the pin.

Obviously if Anne van Dam were to hole out of the fairway bunker (a long shot) it would solve a few problems for Europe.

Words of encouragement from Pettersen, 'this is the easiest shot in golf' she tells her partner.

  9. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Annie Park is on as well. Suzann Pettersen over to you.

  10. Post update

    Peter Scrivener

    BBC Sport at Gleneagles

Lizette Salas has also been given 'a bad time' for slow play.

Back on the 13th, the same hole as Carlota Ciganda got hers.

  11. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Brittany Altomare is on the dance floor. The pressure is all on Suzann Pettersen.

  12. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Anne van Dam has got a shot into to the 18th. Well she thinks she has.

She's going for this. The big dog is out.

That is not the result she'd have liked though. She's in a fairway bunker. Probably not the smart play.

  13. Latest scores

    Europe 6½-5½ United States

Latest scores in Saturday's fourballs - last updated 18:11 BST. Europe lead United States 6½-5½ after the morning's foursomes but they are one down in three of the afternoon’s fourballs and all-square in one the other
  14. Hall & Boutier fightback

    Hall & Boutier v McDonald & Yin 1UP (15)

Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier are well and truly back in business.

A two at the par four 14th, from Boutier was the catalyst. And they've reined the American lead in to one at the 15th.

  15. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Now what has Anne van Dam got on the 18th.

For the umpteenth time today she spanks her tee shot but that's sliced off badly to the right.

Europe's hopes on this hole could well rest on Suzann Pettersen.

  16. USA draw level

    Masson & Ewart Shadoff v Thompson & Alex (16)

Just as celebrations wrap up on the 17th, commiserations are now the order of the day for Europe on the 16th.

Marina Alex has just sunk a gem of a putt to take this back to all square.

    Marina Alex
  17. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (17)

Anne van Dam has GOT IT.

    What. A. Putt.

Now can Europe do what the US did to them around this time on Friday night and snatch a couple of unlikely half points?

Anne van Dam and Suzann Pettersen
  18. Post update

    Pettersen & Van Dam v Altomare & Park 1UP (16)

Suzann Pettersen and Anne van Dam are in a huge load of trouble on 17.

Annie Park has just missed a decent match-winning chance from 10 feet or so.

Now Van Dam has a putt of around eight or nine feet to save the 17th and take this down the stretch.

  19. Post update

Ryder Cup winning skipper Thomas Bjorn has waded in on Lexi Thompson's outburst earlier.

Looks like he's on a different page to some on her behavior - see 17:38 post.
