  2. 'An absolute grind'

More from US PGA champion Brooks Koepka:

"I tried to keep telling myself I had a lead. I don't even have words for it, it was an absolute grind.

"Today wasn't my day but I hung in there. I felt like something good was going to happen - it had to. I wanted to stay patient, not freak out and not let anything get to me."

    Anthony Wall

Two-time European Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 live

I think it's incredible to watch Brooks Koepka perform. He trusted himself, he trusted his mind to take stock of what he was doing and put a good finish on. He got it done and sometimes it's about getting it done.

    Brooks Koepka wins US PGA

    Runner-up Dustin Johnson said:

"With this golf course and this amount of wind, it's definitely one of the tougher days we've played.

"I knew I needed to finish well but I gave it a run and that's all you can ask for.

"I couldn't have asked anymore from the fans. They were on my side and it was a lot of fun. It's why we play golf - to be in these situations.

When you look at that scorecard on the way home, he was seriously rattled. He came home in 39. That was seriously stressful.
