  1. That's your lot

Webb Simpson is in with a 69, playing partner Louis Oosthuizen birdies the last for a very creditable 68. And that's your lot for today. A few players still out there, but nobody who will trouble the scorers. Night.

  2. Post update

    +7 Johnson +4 McIlroy

Rory McIlroy is on the putting green.

Not too sure where Dustin Johnson can go to start working on that round.

Two of the pre-tournament favourites have found the going tough today, very tough.

  3. Stenson in contention

    -3 Stenson (18) +1 Willett +7 Johnson

    Henrik Stenson finishes with a three-under 67.

The Open winner had a bogey-free back nine with three birdies and it leaves the Swede two shots off the lead.

Masters champion Danny Willett is well placed on one-over thanks to two late birdies.

The less said about Dustin Johnson's round the better.

  4. DJ limps to the finish

    -3 Stenson +1 Willett +7 Johnson

Henrik Stenson and Danny Willett both finish with birdies.

Dustin Johnson is finally put out of his misery.

    He finishes with a bogey for a seven-over 77.

The world number two is tied for 143rd place. There are only five players who have scored worse today, and three of them are club pros.

Maybe he shouldn't have shaved that beard after all.

  5. Post update

    -2 Stenson +2 Willett +6 Johnson (all 17)

Eagle putt for Henrik Stenson, he misses, but can still finish with a birdie.

Dustin Johnson now for par, it's short. Another dropped shot.

Danny Willett also for eagle, but it's not happening.

  6. Post update

    +6 Johnson (17)

    Fourth shot for Dustin Johnson.

It's out of the rough and lands towards the back of the green.

A 33ft putt for par coming up.

  7. Post update

Webb Simpson, US Open champion in 2012, is one under through 17. He's been in a bit of form lately and that's a fine score in breezy late conditions. Louis Oosthuizen, Open champion in 2010, is also one under through 17.

  8. Post update

    +2 Willett (17)

    Danny Willett

Danny Willett with his second shot on the 18th. The pin is 226 yards away, his shot pitches on the green and trickles to the back.

  9. Post update

    +6 Johnson (17)

    From bad to worse.

Dustin Johnson takes a drop behind the water hazard. His third shot goes way left, clatters a tree and lands in the rough.

  10. DJ finds the water

    Poor Dustin Johnson.

The world number two watches Henrik Stenson and Danny Willett plant perfect tee shots on the 18th.

He steps up to the tee and fires his tee shot 317 yards into the water hazard that hugs the left hand side of the fairway.

  11. Post update

Justin Rose makes a bit of a hash of the 18th, coming up with only a par, but it's a level-par 70 for the former US Open champion and he's very much still in the hunt.

  12. Post update

    +6 Johnson +2 Willett -2 Stenson (all 17)

    Dustin Johnson

Dustin Johnson is out of the bunker on the 17th and has a 13 foot putt for birdie.

Nothing has dropped for him today and it's a familiar story here. Another par.

Danny Willett and Henrik Stenson have birdie attempts from similar positions but they both miss.

    Pars all round.

    One hole left.

  13. Reed still raging

Justin Rose finds sand in two at 18 but still a chance of a birdie from there and an under-par round. American Ryder Cupper Patrick Reed has battled back well after going out in 37, he's birdied 13 and 17 and is back to +1.

  14. Post update

    +6 Johnson (16)

Dustin Johnson almost finds the green on the monster par five 17th in two shots.

His drive is 341 yards and that leaves him 293 yards from the hole.

He takes a three wood and has the distance, but the ball bounces on the green and ends up in a bunker.

  15. Spieth still in it

Garcia with a fine bunker escape at 18, chance of a birdie for the Spaniard. Scotland's Russell Knox is an inch from an ace at the ninth, his last, he should pop that in for a 70. Birdie for Garcia at 18, a round of 17. Birdie for Watson, a round of 71. Birdie for Spieth, a round of 70 that is a huge testament to his powers of recovery, his long game was woeful.

    Jordan Spieth
  16. Morrison melts

Sergio into 18... bunker, looked like the wind got that. Spieth finds the green, chance of an eagle. On a hole that measures 554 yards, Bubba has left himself 170 yards after his drive. On it goes... James Morrison of England in with a 78, compatriot Justin Rose level after a par at 16.

  17. The par fives

There are only two par fives at Baltursol, the 17th and 18th.

The first you come across is an absolute monster, one of the longest in major championship golf.

But despite it's length it is statistically the second easiest hole on the course today.

The 554 yard 18th is the easiest.

    17th hole

Former champion John Daly remains the only player to find the green in two shots on the 17th, in 1993 with a special one-iron.

    John Daly
  18. Post update

    -2 Stenson; +2 Willett ;+6 Johnson (all 16)

    Par three 16th.

Three major winners, three tee shots on the green, three pars.

    Time for the par fives.

  19. Bubba still swinging

Bubba Watson has just hit his ball 386 yards at 18, it's gone so far it's almost found the stream. So, looks like the top of the leaderboard is pretty much set until tomorrow, Open champion Henrik Stenson is one of only two men under par still on course, the other being South Korea's Song Young-han, who is -1 through 13.

    Bubba Watson
  20. Birdie

    +2 Willett (15) +6 Johnson (15)

Danny Willett rolls in a five-footer for birdie.

It's another par for Dustin Johnson. His back nine makes better reading, but he stays six-over.
