  1. And then there were three?

    .

The Austrian Grand Prix may not be a race that lives long in the memory but it was one that has quite possibly seen Valtteri Bottas crash the title-battle party.

Lewis Hamilton needs that winning feeling back and back soon. There's no better place for that to happen than his home grand prix.

It's the British Grand Prix up next weekend. Join us for live audio and text coverage of first practice on Friday.

    See you then.

Almost time for us to wrap things up here. Before we go, don't forget to have a look at Andrew Benson's take on the Austrian Grand Prix.

Valtteri Bottas turns down a 'shoey' from Daniel Ricciardo

Lightning reaction from Valtteri Bottas here to avoid drinking a shoey.

Almost as quick as his start to the race.

  4. Ups and downs at Red Bull

Daniel Ricciardo has found his form. He has now finished on the podium in five consecutive races.

His Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen, however, has now retired from five of the last seven races.

    .
  5. Bottas - did he or didn't he?

Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas on the podium

The stewards say he didn't, but Sebastian Vettel thinks Valtteri Bottas jumped the start.

It is a subject that is also causing plenty of debate on social media, with some eagle-eyed observers finding images that suggest his tyres did move before lights out.

    Thoughts?

  6. Post update

Readers of this page fancied Lewis Hamilton to finish on the podium with 40% of you saying he would take third place.

    Not far off.

  7. 'A difficult weekend'

    Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton has now failed to finish on podium in four of the last six races. Not the form of a title winner.

"It has obviously been a difficult weekend," he told Sky Sports after the race.

"I have a couple of downtime days now and I look forward to seeing the British Grand Prix crowd, hopefully won't approach Silverstone with any problems."

Regular Jon: Frustrating 18mths as a Lewis Hamilton fan. Quite clear he's best driver, with best car, yet things just aren't white going for him.

David Milner: Vettel - ram another driver, get off lightly then moan constantly because someone got a better start than you.

Jeremiah Kariuki: Good 3 points for Williams after looking written off from yesterday's qualifying! Their tyre strategy worked.

BBC Radio 5 live Formula 1 analyst

Daniel Ricciardo has been very, very consistent in the last couple of races in a car which hasn't been fancied round here.

To pull out a genuine third place and a fesity one too holding off Hamilton he can be very happy.

  12. No shoey for Bottas

    Daniel Ricciardo

So, the big question... is Daniel Ricciardo going to 'do a shoey'?

    The answer is, of course!

Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas know what is coming. They attempt to slope off the podium as Ricciardo removes his sweaty, sweaty boot.

Bottas doesn't get far enough way, though, and as Ricciardo attempts to force him to drink it, the Finn bats it away. He's having none of that!

  13. Post update

    Daniel Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo, who took third place, said: "It was a fun race, there were some decisive moments at the start and then defending the last couple of laps.

"But I stuck to my breaking points and held off. Max Verstappen got the home podium last year and I was a bit envious so it's nice to be up.

"The second last lap was the tightest and Hamilton got close but I was very pleased to see the chequered flag."

  14. Post update

And about that start by Bottas, Vettel adds: "I was pretty sure he jumped it. Ask Daniel about it."

  15. 'I needed one more lap'

Sebastian Vettel, who finished second: "How would you feel if you were just shy of half a second behind the winner? It was very close.

"I was very happy in the second stint of the race. As soon as we put on the super-soft tyre the car came alive. I think I needed one more lap because Bottas was really struggling to get up the hill."

  16. 'Start of my life'

    Valtteri Bottas

Race winner Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas said: "I had a bit of deja-vu in the end from Russia, Vettel was catching up but the problem was I had a massive blister.

"At the beginning I could control the race but it was trickier towards the end.

"I'm really happy, it's only the second win in my career. I think that was the start of my life."

Martin Brundle heads onto the podium once the champagne has been sprayed about. He's conducting the interviews.

  18. Post update

    Valtteri Bottas

Valtteri Bottas' win means he's 15 points behind Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship.
