    So far so good for Kimi Raikkonen as he finishes the day quickest. Keep this up and he may actually end up with a smile on his face this weekend.

    There was more spinning around on the track than a Kylie Minogue song but other than that it was a largely uneventful day of practice.

    Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen turned the tables on Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton to set the pace in second practice at the Canadian Grand Prix.

    The Finn was 0.215 seconds clear of Hamilton, fastest in the first session, and 0.265secs quicker than team-mate and title leader Sebastian Vettel.

    Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas was fourth quickest, 0.11secs slower than Vettel.

    Fernando Alonso, back after racing in the Indianapolis 500, was seventh after more Honda engine problems.

    The marshals are on the scene to wheel Max Verstappen's Red Bull off the circuit... and then Jack Nicholls and John Watson nearly give me a heart attack on commentary as they frantically shout "he's down!". A marshal has taken a tumble.
