We can all agree Rangers underperformed on Wednesday. They were nowhere near the standard they set in the last two rounds.
Lots of things can be said in mitigation. The amount of games they've played - 19 in Europe, including the final - and the heat in Seville. But it's gone now. The mindset has to be to look to a new cup final at Hampden against Hearts.
That's the be all and end all now - and it's coming so quickly. Some may say it's too soon, but there is the chance to put this right. However, they have to erase what has happened. They can't have their heads down.

'Hearts players were disgusted by last week'
Rangers v Hearts (15:00)
Tom English
BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on the Football Breakfast Show
I spoke to Stephen Kingsley earlier in the week and he said the Hearts players were disgusted with their performance in 3-1 defeat against Rangers' B-team last week.
He seemed to think the anger from that might turn into a positive today.
Hearing from our production teams at Hampden that there has been an evacuation due to a fire alarm at the national stadium.
Still waiting to find out what's caused it but fingers crossed all is well.

Should Lowry start?
Rangers v Hearts (15:00)
Iain Ferguson reckons teenager Alex Lowry should be thrown into the deep end today.
What do you think? Thumbs up if you agree with Ferguson, thumbs down if the game comes too soon for the youngster...

Iain Ferguson
Ex-Rangers & Hearts striker on the Football Breakfast Show
I think Hearts need to be a bit more cagey, if they go gung-ho they will get picked off by Rangers.
Even with the emotional level of Wednesday, Rangers have already proven in the last couple months they can put in sensational performances after big games in Europe.
They'll probably freshen it up. It'll be interesting to see the team selection. There have been reports in the papers that Alex Lowry might feature, why not?

Ex-Rangers midfielder on the Football Breakfast Show
I think Hearts should sit back. If they don't, Rangers will open them up with Ryan Kent, Scott Wright and Joe Aribo.
Rangers played in Europe then battered Celtic in the semi-final last month. It's a huge pitch at Hampden.
Rangers were the strongest team in extra-time on Wednesday. I don't think fitness is an issue.

Christophe Berra
Ex-Hearts captain on the Football Breakfast Show
With Rangers playing on Wednesday, they'll be tired but I think they'll get past that. Mentally, though, they'll be on a downer.
I do think Hearts will need to start with a high tempo because Rangers might start slow. If Hearts get ahead it'll be tough for Rangers.
We'll only know afterwards what the right tactic was.

One memory that always sticks out for me in Scottish Cup finals is getting the bus to Hampden.
You see the fans everywhere in the street, then you go down that big ramp into the stadium. You just see flags everywhere and everyone is in a good mood.
