  3. Arteta furious with media reports

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking to Sky Sports (angry with how media reports described his news conference quotes): "Nothing is broken inside. I don't know how they want to try from the outside. They try to put things on me that I never said.

"You can see the spirit of the team from the first minute. You can never doubt the efforts.

"I said if I don't get 120% off each player it's my fault and responsibility. It wasn't like this in the press. I'm so annoyed by that.

"My players, I will defend them from everybody for the rest of the time I'm here. They don't deserve that.

"The players give me everything every day. We can play better, worse, win, lose. That [work-rate] is unquestionable and non-negotiable, 100%.

"I'm really happy with a lot of things we did tonight. We had to dig in. We had to against a fantastic team. We put everything we had to get the best positive result."

Back to the media... "They're not going to break it [a bond]. They can try but they're not going to break it. Not only with the players, but the coaching staff and the board - they can't touch it. If they try to touch it it can be with opinions but not saying something I never said. I'm not taking that. It's the first time I have to make my point.

"It's a big win for the club, for the players and for our fans. It's been 10 years since they won on this ground so shows how hard it is."

  4. Post update

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

    Frustrating night for Chelsea...

  7. Tuchel regrets making so many changes

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to Sky Sports: "Totally our fault, nobody else's. We lost, it's totally our responsibilty. We had huge chances. We made an own goal more or less - total gift.

"Overall we were not sharp enough. We couldn't put out the same intensity and energy as usual.

"It was maybe too many changes from the last match and I take full responsibility for that. Maybe it's the last wake-up call for all of us.

"I felt it a little bit coming in training and I'm a bit unlucky that it's proven today on the pitch. I regret... we could have, we could have, we could have but we didn't.

"We had three days. We're on a good run, good mood. The choices were not so good from my side for the line-up. This is on me. We were unlucky. We can lose in football. We did everything today to lose.

"I'm not happy with my line-up. There were too many changes and I shouldn't have done it like this. It was something in particular but I don't want to tell you.

"We had some good results so we have to cope with a loss."

  8. Post update

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Chelsea’s Mason Mount created more chances than any other player in tonight’s match (four), taking his tally for the season to 82. Only Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has created more in the Premier League this season (92).

  9. 'Extraordinary attitude'

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm very pleased, we haven't won here in 10 years so it's very good to get the result.

"It's a gift because we were pressing through with the right attitude and organisation so you force mistakes.

"We had good organisation, moments when you come here against Thomas Tuchel you will suffer, it's not realistic to come here and think you will play them off the park. The attitude of the boys and the team was extraordinary.

"I am very happy - it's good we won one football game so I'm happy."

  10. 'We only have ourselves to blame'

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Chelsea right wing-back Reece James to Sky Sports: "We lost. We made a mistake which led to their goal and didn't take our chances. We only have ourselves to blame for the loss. On another day maybe the game goes differently.

"They're a good team and hard to break down. We had chances to score and put the game to bed.

"The games come thick and fast and the players come in and out. Everyone is at different fitness levels. We all put 100% in and we're going to get tired sometimes.

"It doesn't affect us in any way. We're still fighting to win very game. The loss doesn't affect us tonight.

"It's disappointing to lose but we can't take negativity into tomorrow's session."

  11. 'I'm not happy with what I saw'

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "The first half was OK, it was enough to lead 3-0 but we were 1-0 down because we forgot to score at the other end and then scored an own goal practically, I don't know how Arsenal would've scored if we didn't give it to them ourselves.

"We were not sharp enough, not the same energy as usual. We are responsible, I am responsible, we are all in this together so it was not enough to win the game.

"Bit angry that we had so many changes, that's on me, not so happy in the end with the line-up, but I didn't know what would happen, I didn't feel us today like I normally do and we can't expect to win games if we're not 100% in games. We didn't have a shot for almost the whole second half, then we had a big one, maybe we deserved this today, we learn something.

"I'm not happy with what I saw, I have my responsibility because I picked the line-up, but the performance was the performance."

On whether it's good to get a loss out of the way before the FA Cup final: "It's a bad thing - I don't need these things to wake up to know how hard it is, I don't need to lose to know this, we needed to wake up again together but I don't know why. Now everybody is awake again."

  12. Post update

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

  15. 'Lucky finish'

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal goalscorer Emile Smith Rowe speaking to Sky Sports: "Important result, we had to dig deep, it was a tough test but important for our season.

"We worked on the pressing in training, high press and we did well to make them make the mistake and Auba [Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang] set me up which was good."

On whether his goal was lucky: "That happens sometimes, I'm happy it went in but it was a slightly lucky finish. It means so much to score for this fantastic club, I just want to keep pushing on.

"I'm so tired but I feel like we played well, we looked tired at times but we got the three points and showed our character, we defended really well in patches and after this tough season it was a good performance from us today.

"We're working really hard in training and showed this season how good we can be, but we need to keep pushing forward."

  19. 'Dogged performance'

    FT: Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal

    Clinton Morrison

Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Really good performance from Arsenal, this is what Arsenal fans will want to see, they were defending from the front, showed great togetherness - it's the type of performance Arsenal haven't produced enough this season.

The players should be proud of themselves because they've put on a really good performance. It wasn't spectacular but they got the goal and defended in numbers and showed they can do that. A dogged performance.

  20. Post update

    Clinton Morrison

Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arsenal have defended excellently, defending from the front, Emile Smith Rowe has been superb tracking Reece James but to a man they've been outstanding.
