  1. Post update

    Everton 0-2 Fulham

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti tells BT Sport: "The game was not good, we had problems everywhere, they pout a lot of pressure on our defenders and we were not able to build up properly. We were affected on the physical aspect because they played with a lot of intensity and we were not able to manage this.

"Physically we knew it was a difficult game, Fulham is a team that likes to play but we were not able to do what we prepared. The physical aspect affected us a lot.

"It is an unpredictable season, we have lost a lot of at home and won a lot away. We have to do better and we have a difficult game on Wednesday. We have to try and be better then.

"James Rodriguez got a knock and we have to see how he is tomorrow.

"We don't have to to lose confidence, we have to improve on our mistakes form tonight, be better physically on Wednesday (against Manchester City)."

  2. 'I'm surprised they're in the bottom three'

    Everton 0-2 Fulham

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti to BBC Sport: "[We struggled with] the physical aspect [after the 5-4 win over Spurs].

"Practically we were not able to play as we wanted. We wanted to have a good control of the game putting more midfielders on the pitch but they press a lot and we could not play as want.

"We did well when we played every three days [earlier this season]. Physically we didn't have the necessary power to match the intensity of Fulham. Sometimes you have to say the opponent played better than you and they deserved to win.

"I'm surprised they're in the bottom three. They played well, not only against us - against Liverpool and Manchester United. They have a clear idea. They deserved to win tonight.

"Josh King did his job. He's adapting to the squad well. The game he played, he played well. He was one of the best."

Could Dominic Calvert-Lewin play against Manchester City on Wednesday? "He can be fit but we have to see in the next days."

  3. Post update

    Everton 0-2 Fulham

Fulham manager Scott Parker tells BBC Sport: "It has been coming, for sure. The difference is that we win the game by putting the ball in the net. People may be seeing that it turns but for the large part in the last 15 games we have been consistent. We were brilliant, superb in everything we did in defence and attack. I don't think we deserved anything less to be honest.

"Today it (goals) has been the difference, I constantly say to this team, you cannot keep creating the chances and that is a good marker to keep belief. We have been on the wrong side of fine margins but in and around the six yard box we have sniffed out chances and got a big win.

"Hopefully (great escape). That is how we go about our work, we have been drawing too many games and we need to be winning them. We now go into two massive games and onto the rest of the season. I have got full belief in this team, I honestly have. People judge performances on wins and losses, I have a different view because I see it everyday and have to be more rational looking at my team. It gives me constant belief.

"I know what we need to do and the players do too. We can't control what is around us, we just need to go out and win football matches. If we do that I know it will be OK.

"They said our record here was not great but it is irrelevant to me and I am happy to get the win."

  8. 'Boost of confidence'

    Everton 0-2 Fulham

Fulham forward Ademola Lookman: "It was a well-deserved three points. We dominated large parts of the game and created lots of chances.

"I'm happy for Josh Maja as well. Everyone knows he can score goals. We need to score goals.

"I've said before if we stick together and put the ball in the back of the net, we'll win games. We showed that today.

"We kept believing. At half-time we said we'll do the exact same thing in the second half and we scored twice.

"Our defence kept it strong towards the end of the game and we saw it out.

"It gives the team a boost of confidence and we'll take that into the next game."

  9. Post update

    Everton 0-2 Fulham

Fulham striker Josh Maja tells BT Sport: "It is a big one, we came into the game wanting to win it and not had the results we wanted. We are very happy with the win.

"We took our chances when it came and put in another good performance again, we want to continue like this. For the whole 90 minutes the guys worked hard and stuck to the gameplan.

"This is a night I have been dreaming about for a long time, especially last night and I had a feeling it was coming and pleased it became a reality.

"Wins gives the fans and players confidence and we want to take it into the next game."

Thoroughly deserved. Fulham were brilliant from minute one to 90.

    Everton never really got going.

You have to give Fulham credit, to come here and score two goals.

This will give them the lift they need. The escape could be on.
