  1. That's it.

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

It's not the outcome we wanted and it unfolded in the most emotionally torturous way imaginable.

Scotland will not be at the Women's Euro 2022 finals.

It's going to hurt for some time. It feels like a missed opportunity. But there are still plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future of the women's game in Scotland, and it will continue to thrive despite this setback.

That's all for tonight, thanks for joining me.

  2. Not our night...

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

    Erin Cuthbert dejected
    Kim Little dejected
  3. 'We should have won' - Thomson

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

"It sums up the last three games. We dominated possession, created good opportunities, didn't take them and got punished with the last kick of the game," says Scotland assistant coach Andy Thomson.

"You have to take your chances, if you don't, you leave yourself open to what's happened. Things haven't fallen our way, it's hard to say what's gone wrong. It's a horrible position to be in and we need to learn from it.

"You can't ask for any more apart from the final bit and that's the hardest thing to do in football. Bitterly disappointing, and anybody who knows football will watch that game and know we should have won it."

  4. 'We need to be better' - Evans

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

"We needed the result tonight and we couldn't get the ball in the back of the net, it's not about the goal, we knew a draw wasn't good enough," says Scotland full-back Lisa Evans.

"We dominated the ball but we just couldn't score and at that level, teams are going to punish you. This isn't a one-off, it's happened in Finland and in Portugal. We need to be better.

"We've got such a good squad and we've not got the full potential out of it. We all need to be better."

  5. We have to take responsibility - Little

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

"We're incredibly disappointed," says Scotland midfielder Kim Little on BBC Sportsound.

"Three 1-0 results and ultimately we've not been good enough, we've not put the ball in the back of the net and we have to take responsibility for that."

  6. It's a ridiculous goal...

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

If you don't laugh you'll cry. Rantanen doesn't have a clue that she's scored.

  7. Heartbreak for Scotland

    FT: Scotland 0-1 Finland

    Julie Fleeting

Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: It was just that moment where we committed too many players forward that really cost us.
  8. FULL-TIME Scotland 0-1 Finland

Scotland will not be at the Women's Euro 2022 finals.

  9. GOAL! Scotland 0-1 Finland

    Amanda Rantanen

Scotland pile forward and get caught on the counter. Lee Alexander saves Rantanen's initial effort and it rebounds off the substitute's face and into the net.

    Goal! - Finland
  10. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

Rachael Boyle fires over the bar from inside the box. Scotland have had the chances here, they've just not taken them.

  11. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

    Four minutes of additional time...

  12. CLOSE!

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

If you want the ball to fall to anyone in the box, it's Caroline Weir.

It's pinball in the Finland area, and Korpela commits herself to a shot which gets blocked and lands at the feet of Weir.

With the goal at her mercy, she fires wide. Was that Scotland's last chance?

  13. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

Kirsty Smith tries her luck from outside the box, but it flies over the bar. Five minutes plus stoppage time to play at Easter Road.

  14. Pressure on both sides

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

A reminder that Portugal beat Albania 1-0 earlier on to go top of Group E, so both sides will be desperate for a win tonight.

  15. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

Zoe Ness comes off the bench for Martha Thomas, and brings another good save out of Korpela with her first touch.

  16. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

    About twenty minutes left.

Erin Cuthbert skies an effort from outside the box. Time running out.

  17. CLOSE!

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

    Another glorious chance for Scotland!

Kim Little does brilliantly to roll the ball across the box, and Lisa Evans scuffs her shot into the ground from six yards out.

It all feels a bit familiar, this...

  18. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

Rachael Boyle and Lucy Graham are on for Jane Ross and Christie Murray, which may signal a formation change for the Scots.

  19. Post update

    Scotland 0-0 Finland

Kirsty Smith is given a yellow card for cynically ending a Finland counter attack.
