  1. A wide open title race?

Six games in and just three points separate the top nine, with Tottenham moving up to fifth after tonight's win.

A wide open title race on the cards? The early signs are encouraging.

That's it from us tonight, see you later!

  2. Dyche encouraged despite defeat

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Burnley boss Sean Dyche speaks to Sky Sports: "Tonight yet again we fall foul to a set piece. A lot of our performance was right about what we do especially against a quality side.

"I thought the shape was good and the belief in the shape. We stopped their tempo a bit really and I thought we mixed the game up well in attack. A lot of what we try and achieve, especially against the better sides, was on show.

"I think the players know the last couple of weeks we have managed to get players who needed fitness work fitter. I think we were fit and strong tonight. There has to be a show of performance level that you can win games and we know if we play like that over a season we will get points on the board."

  3. 'We are getting back to our old selves'

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Burnley boss Sean Dyche, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a very good performance, very thorough performance. We are getting players back to true match fitness, a lot of good things. If you perform like we did against West Brom and tonight enough times, you start looking after yourself.

"There has to be belief in what we are doing and the last two games in particularly we have gone back to being what we can be like. We are looking for the balance at both ends. We got done a little bit by a soft goal tonight but we quelled a lot of good attacks tonight.

"Tough start to the season in all different ways. I thought the last two games it is beginning to show things coming back together. We have to keep that going."

On Harry Kane: "I think he has had better nights to be fair. He is a top player and top players do the right things and make the right decisions."

  4. 'The referee was very good'

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho speaks to Sky Sports: "It was exactly what I was expecting. I know Sean (Dyche), he is very clever. He plays with what he has. He gave us a very difficult match. Congratulations to him and his boys. I also think that Michael Oliver and his assistants were very good. For a match of this nature you need a good referee. He was always in control. He doesn't need to give a red card to Ashley Barnes as that would create a complete different game. This game is a lot about duels. All the duels he has to be running with the ball and be always close to decisions. He was really good.

"My players didn't play the quality of football we want but because of Burnley, not because of us. So I think we did a positive game. In the second half the game was more under control. It gave me some problems as it was the kind of game if you take too many risks you can lose it.

"I'm very happy. Three matches away, nine points."

  5. 'Good in the box, magnificent out of it'

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to BBC Sport: "6-1 or 1-0, three points so I am happy as I was at Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"I knew. I said before the game this was not the game for beautiful football or the game to score many goals. Sean Dyche knows how to organise a team and to stop the better teams from playing through it.

"Very happy, this is the typical match where you can easily leave two points behind."

On Harry Kane: "In the last minute he was pressing and sliding tackles, trying to stop attacks. When you want to win you do everything for the team. There is no space for individuals or no space for prima donnas, Harry has this spirit and he is fantastic.

"He has done amazing with every coach here. The way the team plays, today is not the best example of that, but the way this team plays he is very comfortable because he is good in the box and also magnificent outside the box.

"I have a very good squad. We have a game coming again soon and I am not worried, very good squad."

  6. 'They are two top players and great friends'

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, speaking about the Harry Kane and Son Heung-min partnership: "It is an understanding that comes from Maurcio (Pochettino's) time. I don't want all the credit myself, let's share with Mauricio. They play together for a long time, probably a different way because Harry is not always a nine now.

"What pleases me more about them both is that they are two top players but close friends, no jealousy, they both play for the team.

"Credit to them, two great players, two great boys."

  7. 'We can do something special' - Kane

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane speaks to Sky Sports: "I think we are at a stage where we have been so close for so many years, a lot of us have been together for four or five years. The additions this year have been great and we are all getting more experienced. We know with the team we have got and the players we have got we can do something special. It's making sure when you come to places like this you are fighting for every point and result. To bounce back and grind these results out, these are the results that count at the end of the season.

Asked if he was eyeing winning the Premier League, Kane replies: "It's still early on. We need to take each game as it comes. I know it's a cliche. We still have a lot to learn and build on but I think nights like this will give us a lot of confidence."

  9. 'It was not an amazing assist'

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a massive game today, it is not an easy place to come. It is going to be a tough game, a big battle and these are the games you need three points if you are going to be up there at the end of the season. Massive fight from the lads.

"It is great, we need everyone to be scoring and assisting at the top end of the pitch. Me and Sonny have had a nice little partnership going recently and hopefully it continues."

What's the secret: "I think having more understanding when I'm dropping deep for him to run in behind. It is just confidence as well. When you are playing well you just want the next games to come.

"Even today it was not an amazing assist but it fell well for Sonny and 1-0 away to Burnley is a fantastic result."

  10. Kane keeps getting better

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Harry Kane has been directly involved in 13 goals this season, the most ever recorded by a player in his team's first six Premier League games of a season (five goals, eight assists).

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

    All over!

It wasn't easy, or pretty, but Tottenham get the job done to move up to fifth and it was that duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min that found the key to punish their opponents.

Burnley's winless start to the season goes on.

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Joe Rodon is on for his Tottenham debut as the former Swansea defender comes on for Son Heung-min for the final couple of minutes.

  14. Post update

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

A pause in play because Dwight McNeil is down injured. Just seeing the replays and it is a bad challenge by Erik Lamela, who goes in with his studs showing.

It looks a painful one but McNeil is able to get up and continue.

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Another attacking change by Sean Dyche as he desperately tries to get something from this game. On comes Matej Vydra for Ashley Barnes.

  16. Post update

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Jay Rodriguez is sent on now for Burnley, replacing Johann Gudmundsson.
