Latest PostThanks for joining us
FT: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
That concludes our live coverage of the opening weekend of the WSL season but you can find match reports and - very shortly - highlights of all today's games right here on our women's football page.
Thanks for joining us, we'll see you again soon.
Stoney hails 'outstanding' keeper Earps
FT: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Manchester United boss Casey Stoney tells BT Sport:
"I'm really pleased. They [Chelsea] had moments and chances but Mary Earps stood up big and did her job. I'm really proud of the players.
"The first half was maybe a little bit cagey from us and we haven't played a competitive game for six months.
"Chelsea have got world-class players, but I thought Mary was outstanding today with the saves she made."
'Something was missing' - Hayes
FT: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea boss Emma Hayes tells BT Sport:
"I enjoyed it. I'm glad football is back. It's been a long five months.
"Man Utd were well-organised and difficult to break down.
"But we still had six chances to win the game. I'll take the draw because it's a long season and I think a lot of people will come here and have a tough game.
"We started with a high at Wembley last week. I thought something was missing from our performance today, but I've got a great dressing room.
"I'll take the point but I'm disappointed with us in front of goal."
FT: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea remain unbeaten away from home in the WSL since May 2017.
But that was a tough afternoon's work for them today.
'We are here to compete' - Zelem
FT: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Manchester United midfielder Katie Zelem tells BT Sport:
"I'm over the moon. We put everything we had in to the game and 1-1 is a brilliant result for us.
"Chelsea have got a great squad but we knew, if we worked harder than them, we had a great chance of winning.
"We've just competed with the champions. I think it shows everyone else we are here to compete.
"We always wanted to build on last season, we knew we had more to give."
FT: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
That was an excellent advert for the WSL, especially when the game was end-to-end for parts of the second half.
Casey Stoney will be very pleased with her side's effort and their well-worked equaliser.
FULL-TIME
Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea come forward one last time and Pernille Harder's cross picks out Fran Kirby.... But Kirby can't direct her volley goal wards.
That's it. It's all over. The champions have been denied victory on the opening weekend. Manchester United battled back after the break.
Post update
Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
As we enter the third minute of added time, Chelsea break dangerously, led by substitute Pernille Harder, but United defend the situation very well and eventually block Erin Cuthbert's effort.
Post update
Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Now Chelsea force a corner as Fran Kirby does well down the right.
It comes in dangerously but Erin Cuthbert can't quite make a clean connection with her strike and the ball ends up rolling out for a goal kick.
We're in to four minutes of stoppage time now.
Post update
Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Up the other end, Chelsea are causing problems too but their latest attack ends with Germany's Melanie Leupolz volleying wildly off target.
It's an interesting end to the game, this. Just under five minutes to go.
Post update
Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Lauren James whips in a dangerous cross towards the back post for Manchester United and Maren Mjelde is taking no risks - she knocks it behind for a corner.
From the delivery when it comes in, the ball bobbles around in the area a bit and United force another corner.
Do Chelsea look a bit nervy?
The second corner is gathered well by keeper Carly Telford.
DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION (Chelsea)
Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
In response, on comes Denmark star Pernille Harder for her Chelsea debut, after her arrival from Champions League finalists Wolfsburg.
She replaces Guro Reiten, while Jess Carter comes on in place of Jonna Andersson.
GOAL: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Leah Galton (79 mins)
All of a sudden it's game on, after a really good counter attack from the hosts.
Not too dissimilar to Chelsea's opening goal, Leah Galton gets in front of her marker inside the six-yard box to meet the low cross from the right and this game is now level.
Chelsea may yet be made to pay for their missed chances after all.
CLOSE!
Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea
United goalkeeper Mary Earps does well to hold on to a half-volley from Chelsea's Erin Cuthbert at the back post.
SUBSTITUTION (Man Utd)
Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea
Chelsea are looking the most likely to score another goal, as the hosts bring on Lotta Okvist at the back in place of Spain's Ona Batlle.
Post update
Result: Arsenal 6-1 Reading

FULL-TIME
Tottenham 1-1 West Ham
The points shared in this one.
West Ham defender Grace Fisk headed into her own net from a corner to give Spurs the lead but Adriana Leon socred a superb solo equaliser to rescue a point for the Hammers.
FULL-TIME
Bristol City 0-4 Everton
The perfect start to the season for Everton as they thrashed a poor Bristol City.
Goals from Simone Magill, a Lucy Graham brace including one from the penalty spot and a debut goal for Valerie Gauvin secured the points for the visitors.
SUBSTITUTION (Chelsea)
Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea
Today's goalscorer Sam Kerr comes off for a rest.
Instead, Chelsea bring on the Lionesses' Beth England, who was one of the stars of last season.
Not a bad option, off the bench.
FULL-TIME
Brighton 2-0 Birmingham
Carla Ward's first game in charge of Birmingham ends in defeat, as Brighton get their own season off to a good start.
