  1. Thanks and good night

So a feel-good Friday for both Luton Town and Fulham after this evening's two games.

Check out our Championship section for more on those games and indeed news and reaction from across the rest of the division.

More drama and excitement to come in the Championship though across the rest of this weekend.

Be sure to be back with us from Saturday lunchtime for more action and in the meantime, thanks for being with us and stay safe.

  2. Reaction

    FT: Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic speaking on Sky Sports:

"We had to dig in at times tonight for that win and fight, but we came through it and it's another huge step on the way with three games still to go.

"This squad deserves to be in the Premier League and for sure, we will continue to give everything we've got every game to try and make that happen."

  3. Post update

    FT: Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Fulham into the play-offs then with three games still to go.

Brentford could also join them tomorrow if they pick up another victory.

  4. How it stands at the top...

    FT: Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

So victory for Fulham takes them up a place to third above neighbours Brentford...

    Top six

The Bees though are in action tomorrow lunchtime at Derby so there could be changes once again.

Cardiff stay sixth, but Swansea are just a point behind while wins for Preston and Derby tomorrow could also bring them level on points.

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

    Fulham celebrate

Clinical from Fulham. Fourth successive win secured and a play-off place in the bag.

But they're still very much in the hunt for higher aspirations.

Cardiff's own play-off quest takes a knock back, but will results elsewhere this weekend work in their favour and still leave them in pole position?

Neil Harris' side will just have to wait and see...

  6. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Should've been a third Fulham goal surely?

Great cross from the left from Ivan Cavaleiro picks out an unmarked Neeskens Kebano.

But he wastes the free header by directing it straight at Alex Smithies when it seemed much easier to hit the back of the net.

  7. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Composed and measured play from Fulham in injury time who know exactly just how and where to keep the ball effectively to run down the clock.

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

A Will Vaulks long throw finally does cause a bit of indecision in Fulham's penalty area but also a bit of impatience from his Cardiff team-mates as they give away a needless free-kick.

Another chance goes begging for the Bluebirds.

Six minutes being added on at the end of the 90....

  9. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Scott Parker must be very pleased with how his side have come through this game.

A fourth successive win is moments away and as I said, they must feel they will go into that trip to West Brom on Tuesday as arguably the form side in the division.

  10. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Kevin McDonald and Steven Sessegnon have both been brought on for Fulham to close this game out.

Josh Onomah and Harrison Reed the pair making way.

Cardiff also taking off Nathaniel Mendez-Laing for Josh Murphy.

Closing stages now at Craven Cottage.

    Fulham v Cardiff
  11. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Going back to those fixtures coming up in the middle of next week, Cardiff could also find themselves going into a big crunch fixture as they host Derby on Tuesday.

Come tomorrow, those two sides could well be level on points with three games to play, but also outside of the top six.

  12. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Nasty-looking clash of bodies in the air between Aleksandar Mitrovic and Lee Tomlin has Mitrovic clutching his face in apparent pain.

Back up and running though fairly quickly and no punishment dished out for Tomlin either.

  13. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Into the last 10 minutes now.

Cardiff look like they might need old rivals Leeds to do them a favour on old enemy Swansea on Sunday at this rate to cling on to their play-off spot.

Fulham meanwhile will be able to turn their attentions to matters above them when they face West Brom on Tuesday.

Still time though for a late goal to alter the mood....

  14. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Cyrus Christie in the book for a late-timed challenge on Lee Tomlin.

Meanwhile Anthony Knockaert makes way for Ivan Cavaleiro and Bobby Decordova-Reid is also replaced by Neeskens Kebano as Fulham make two more changes.

  15. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Couple of recent Cardiff changes among all these Fulham chances have seen Robert Glatzel and Danny Ward introduced in attack.

Callum Paterson and Junior Hoilett the pair to make way.

Still the Will Vaulks long throw gets a run out as an attacking tactic.

I'm not convinced personally - give me an Andy Legg, Rory Delap, Dave Challinor or Jonas Knudsen option any day!

  16. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Nearly a third Fulham goal as a well delivered free-kick swings in from the left.

Cyrus Christie up to meet it, but heads over the bar. May well have been put off by Aleksandar Mitrovic's jump just ahead of him as well.

  17. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Break in play not long after we restarted as Lee Tomlin and Harrison Reed appear to have a bit of a disagreement.

Referee Gavin Ward plays mediator and after a few more choice words, we're back off and running again.

Calm down boys. Get on with the game!

  18. Post update

    Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

Second drinks break of the game and Fulham will be absolutely buzzing now after that second goal.

Cardiff will need a special energy boost from those refreshments for sure.

  19. GOAL: Fulham 2-0 Cardiff

    Josh Onomah

    Fulham celebrate

Great move, great goal and that could well be Fulham's play-off spot secured!

Josh Onomah plays a neat one-two around the Cardiff box with Stefan Johansen.

His quick feet and trickery see him unleash a powerful right-foot drive into the bottom left corner.

No chance for Alex Smithies to get down and stop that and they may well now be no stopping the hosts in this game.

    Fulham 1-0 Cardiff

Fulham have brought Stefan Johansen on for Harry Arter in midfield in their first change of the night.

Meanwhile there's a huge appeal for another penalty from Aleksandar Mitrovic as he tried to get on the end of a cross from Joe Bryan.

It looks to have clearly struck centre-back Curtis Nelson's right hand almost right on the penalty spot.

    Nothing given!

    Scott Parker
