  1. Farewell for now

That is that for this quarter-final.

I'll obviously not get as excited about Friday's match-up which sees Bayern Munich face Barcelona. I'm surprised it's even being televised.

We might as well do another live text on that game, so join us then.

  2. Upamecano is awarded Uefa's man of the match

And deservedly so. The French centre-back was a sensational leader at the back for Leipzig.

Somewhat ironically, he made the most passes of either team - 76 of which 92% of them were successful.

  3. 'It won't be easy against PSG' - Nagelsmann

    RB Leipzig 2-1 Atletico Madrid

RB Leipzig's 33-year-old coach Julian Nagelsmann speaking to BT Sport:

"It was a good game. Atletico defended like in all games - very good. At the end we were better in the final third. We did not create many chances, but they didn't create many chances.

"Great emotions for the club and our team. As a manager you have to look forward. We have to prepare for the next game. There's not a lot of time to celebrate but maybe we will have a beer in the hotel then we focus on PSG.

On the club's meteoric success:"The club develops very fast since. We reached the Bundesliga and qualified for the Champions League three times. We're still in the Champions League. The progress is faster than usual.

On playing PSG: "We have to be very fast along the defence line. There will be situations where you cannot defend against these guys on your own. Atalanta tried to defend one on one. There are a lot of stars in this team - it won't be easy."

  4. 'We're confident in ourselves' - Adams

    RB Leipzig 2-1 Atletico Madrid

Here's Wor Tyler Adams: "We're really, really excited. We know Paris are a great team, we saw what they did against Atalanta yesterday and they've got really good players.

"Now it's about recovering in the right way, getting ourselves right mentally and working on the game plan. We're confident in ourselves, you saw that today."

That match will be played on Tuesday at 20:00 BST.

Abu: Surely it's time Atletico move on from Simeone...he had a magical run, but this team desperately needs a new style of play.

James Adams: Get in there Leipzig! As a Liverpool fan I am glad to see Athletico knocked out! All the best vs PSG!!

  8. Post update

    RB Leipzig 2-1 Atletico Madrid

The game did improve markedly in the second half. Atletico were disappointing, particularly in midfield. Barely created anything.

RB, on the other hand, defended superbly with both Dayot Upamecano and keeper Peter Gulacsi brilliant.

When was the last time an ex Hereford United loan player was in a Champions League semi-final?

    Exactly.

  9. FULL-TIME

  17. GOAL - RB Leipzig 2-1 Atletico Madrid

    Tyler Adams

    Did not see that coming!

    That was quite incredible!

Atletico looking like they were the most likely to get the win in normal time are hit by the ultimate sucker punch - Tyler Adams strikes a shot from the edge of the area that comes off the leg of Stefan Savic and loops in past Jan Oblak, who was wrong-footed.
