  1. How it stands at the top

    Man City

It's 'as you were' for the top two, who both won tonight. Chelsea stay a point behind leaders Man City but the Londoners have a game in hand.

Tomorrow night, third-placed Arsenal - who are five points further back - travel to strugglers Liverpool. We'll have full live text commentary of that game for you.

And, with that, I'll bid you farewell. Cheers for your company. See you again tomorrow.

    Chelsea celebrate
  2. 'Disappointed not to nick something from Man City'

FT: Man City 1-0 Bristol City

Bristol City captain Frankie Brown said:

"I'm really proud of the way we performed as a team.

"It was disappointing to lose an early goal like that, and we could have let our heads go down at that point, but we didn't do that.

"We rose to the challenge collectively and ended up playing some really good football.

"It is disappointing that we didn't manage to nick something at the end of the game."

    Brighton 1-1 Man Utd

    Casey Stoney

It's a point apiece in Sussex... Man Utd led after 15 seconds but have been frustrated by Hope Powell's Brighton tonight.

The Seagulls move seven points clear of the relegation zone.

  4. 'Man City need to improve'

FT: Man City 1-0 Bristol City

    Gemma Bonner

Manchester City match-winner Gemma Bonner said:

"The result was the most important thing for us going into the game.

"Yes, there are things we need to improve on, but we got the three points in the end.

"We've been working hard on set-pieces like the one I scored from, and to be honest, if you ask Caroline (Weir) to put a ball in where you want it, she will do more often than not.

"We are a bit disappointed that we're not scoring more goals from set-pieces, but it is up to us to go in and attack them when balls come into the box like that.

"It was important we kept focused while it remained 1-0."

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Birmingham City

    Samantha Miller

Ex-Tottenham, West Ham and London Bees player on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Chelsea still have Manchester City to play, which will be a difficult task, but for me Chelsea are looking very promising.

Even when they are not performing at their best, they still seem to find a way to break teams down to score. And they have goal scorers all around the pitch, goals are coming from everywhere and that is a great thing to have.

  18. Blues in 'three-way relegation fight'

    Chelsea 2-0 Birmingham City

    Samantha Miller

Ex-Tottenham, West Ham and London Bees player on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

I feel like Birmingham have a really good chance of staying up. I think if they can improve on their finishing in front of goal they have the capability of beating teams. Bristol City are struggling, Liverpool are also there.

Either one of Bristol City, Liverpool and Birmingham could go down.

I do think Rachel Furness makes a difference for Liverpool, she has been a really great signing for them. She adds quality going forward and can drop back and play a holding role if needs be. Liverpool have been smart.

Bristol City have Tanya Oxtoby, who gets the best out of players, but it is not quite working for them at the moment.

There is no one team that will definitely go down. If I had to pick, I'd say Bristol City simply because of how young they are.

Lucy Staniforth of Birmingham City is challenged by Erin Cuthbert
  19. Second half

Tonight's 19:45 kick-off is now back under way. Can either team find a second-half winner?

    Man City celebrate

Job done for Man City. They stay top of the table thanks to Gemma Bonner's second-minute effort.

Alan Mahon's first game in interim charge ends with three points.

Bristol City impressed at times but remain rooted to the foot of the WSL.
