  1. Until the next time

    Sam Clucas

That's it for our coverage of today's English Football League action.

The FA Cup may have reduced this afternoon's schedule, but we still had an injured linesman, a floodlight failure to keep us entertained amid all the goals.

Stoke, Ipswich and Swindon were the big winners, while Stevenage sunk to the foot of League Two.

We'll be back again with more EFL action on Tuesday evening, when the Championship's top two West Brom and Leeds will be in action amid a packed programme.

  2. Stoke climb away from danger

    How it stands

The top of the Championship is as you were after Swansea missed the chance to move into the play-off places.

The result at the Bet365 Stadium boosts Stoke City's survival bid, as victory for the Potters moves them up to 19th and seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Stoke have taken 23 points from their 14 games since Michael O'Neill's appointment as manager in November.

  3. League Two full-time headlines

    • Swindon Town are two points clear at the top of League Two - and seven points above fourth-placed Crewe Alexandra - after an easy 3-0 win over Port Vale.
    • Stevenage slip to the bottom of the table after a 2-1 defeat by Plymouth Argyle, in a game interrupted by floodlight failure in the second half.
    • Morecambe drew with Cambridge United to leapfrog Boro, while 10-man Macclesfield Town beat play-off hopefuls Forest Green Rovers.
  4. League One full-time headlines

    Ipswich celebrate
    • Ipswich go top of the table as Luke Woolfenden's first-half header gives them a 1-0 victory over Lincoln
    • Rotherham slip to second as they lose 2-1 at Peterborough, with Posh moving up into the play-off places
    • Bristol Rovers miss a late penalty at home against Fleetwood as their winless run extends to seven league matches
    • Accrington and Gillingham draw at Burton and Rochdale respectively
  5. Post update

That turned into a busy old afternoon, didn't it?!

Here's everything you might've missed from League One and League Two...

    Stevenage 1-2 Plymouth

There goes the final whistle! Stevenage are heading back to the bottom of League Two.

  7. Post update

    League Two latest

We'll bring you today's headlines shortly - the match between Stevenage and Plymouth Argyle is still rumbling on!

    Peterborough 2-1 Rotherham

Posh hang on during 10 minutes of stoppage time, with Rotherham having a late shout for a penalty turned down by referee Scott Oldham after a cross appeared to strike a defender's arm.

First-half goals from Ivan Toney and Sammie Szmodics put the hosts 2-0 up before Michael Ikiekwe pulled on back for the Millers.

Rotherham's five-match winning run comes to an end as they suffer a first defeat in eight and slip to second in League One.

Peterborough make it back-to-back wins to move up to fifth in the table.

  9. Post update

    League Two latest

Leyton Orient have survived 10 minutes of stoppage time to beat Newport County 2-1.

Only the games between Peterborough-Rotherham and Stevenage-Plymouth remain of today's EFL matches...

  10. Post update

    League Two latest

Macclesfield Town have also held on to beat Forest Green Rovers, while fellow strugglers Morecambe have drawn 1-1 with Cambridge United.

There's still five minutes plus stoppage time left in the game between Stevenage, who are heading bottom, and Plymouth Argyle.

    Stevenage v Plymouth
  11. Post update

    Peterborough 2-1 Rotherham

Into eight minutes of injury time at London Road, and Rotherham have been pushing for an equaliser.

Posh are standing firm at the moment.

Swindon 3-0 Port Vale, Exeter 0-0 Colchester

It's full-time at the County Ground, where Swindon Town have thumped Port Vale.

Exeter City's goalless draw with Colchester United means the Robins go two points clear of the second-placed Grecians.

    Ipswich 1-0 Lincoln

Luke Woolfenden's first-half header is enough for Ipswich Town to beat Lincoln City,

That's a third win in four for Paul Lambert's side.

The Tractor Boys will go top of the table, as long as Rotherham don't grab a late equaliser at Peterborough...

  14. Post update

    League Two latest

Stevenage have halved the deficit against Plymouth through Charlie Carter. After that earlier floodlight failure, it's worth saying there's still a fair bit of time left in that game.

    Stoke 2-0 Swansea

There goes the final whistle and the Potters fans will be the ones going home happy.

Stoke are now seven points clear of the drop zone thanks to six points in as many days.

After a slow start they found their feet but had to wait for the opener which came courtesy of Sam Clucas against his former team, before James McClean's late goal wrapped things up.

Ultimately a disappointing performance from Swansea, who were largely good in possession but very ineffective as an attacking force. They remain just outside of the promotion places in seventh.

  16. GOAL: Stoke 2-0 Swansea

    James McClean (90+1 mins)

    Game over!

It's a goal out of nothing that hands Stoke all three points.

James McClean dispossesses Marc Guehi and powers forward before driving past Freddie Woodman.

Stoke are heading up the 19th and away from danger!

  17. Post update

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

As you would expect it's all getting a bit frantic as we approach the 90th minute.

Swansea are throwing players forward - but have they left it too late?

Stoke are looking at back-to-back clean sheets if they hold on.

    Three minutes added on!

    League One update

Bristol Rovers miss a glorious chance to take a late, late lead through Jonson Clarke-Harris.

But the striker sees his penalty saved onto the crossbar by Fleetwood keeper Alex Cairns.

Rovers have not scored a league goal in 2020, and that sums up their year so far.

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

Borja Baston has only been on the pitch for a matter of minutes and he's had an immediate impact!

Unfortunately, that impact was on a Stoke player and he's been booked.

Meanwhile, Tom Ince is heading off the pitch to be replaced by Nathan Collins as Stoke try to close the game out.

  20. Post update

    League Two latest

Macclesfield Town are in front - despite having just had a man sent off!

First Corey O'Keeffe is red carded for a poor challenge, before Arthur Gnahoua fires the Silkmen ahead.

Elsewhere, Oldham Athletic have equalised against neighbours Salford City, while Leyton Orient are ahead against Newport County.
