  2. Frimpong one of best I've seen - Lennon

    FT: Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

Celtic manager Neil Lennon was pleased that his decision to play three at the back forced Hibs to "change their formation really quickly".

"The only criticism is that we missed easy chances - we were far more comprehensive than 2-0," he tells BBC Scotland.

Lennon praised 19-year-old scorer Jeremie Frimpong, describing the 19-year-old as "one of the best kids I've ever seen and I've been in the game for a long time. The level of his play is outstanding and he's been magnificent since he came through the door."

  7. Lack of Hibs belief?

    FT: Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

    Billy Dodds

    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

Quote Message: Celtic dominated possession. Hibs didn't really believe in the opportunities that they had. There were at least five chances. Good response to the result and pressure from Rangers' result earlier and overall a good day for the Old Firm
    Hibs are left disappointed
  8. Satisfactory afternoon for champions

    FT: Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

    Alasdair Lamont

    BBC Sport Scotland

A good win against stubborn opposition for Neil Lennon’s side. They could have won more comprehensively with a little more precision with their finishing, but Hibs were only occasionally able to lay a glove on their opponents.

Next up for the Edinburgh side is a home meeting with Rangers on Friday night, which is an intriguing-looking fixture.

The same could be said about Celtic’s trip to Tynecastle on Wednesday, when they can stretch their lead at the top of the league to five points.

  9. 'Very comfortable'

    FT: Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: There was a small period where Hibs made a few half chances, but the second goal just killed it off and Celtic have been very comfortable
  10. FULL-TIME Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

It was all rather easy in the end for Celtic as they match Rangers' 2-0 win away to Motherwell earlier today to regain their two-point lead at the top of the Premiership.

Jeremie Frimpong gave them a half-time lead and Odsonne Edouard virtually killed the game as a contest after the break.

  13. YELLOW CARD Mallan (Hibs)

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

Hibs midfielder Stevie Mallan is booked for a foul on Kristoffer Ajer as Tom Rogic comes into the Celtic midfield in place of James Forrest.

  14. GOOD SAVE!

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

At last, Fraser Forster is forced into a save - and it's from one of his team-mates.

Martin Boyle's cut back is headed on by Christopher Jullien and somehow the Celtic goalkeeper beats it away, possibly off his chest.

  15. 'Defending not Allan's forte'

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Scott Allan's done okay working away in the middle of the pitch. But, when you come here, the toughest part of your game is the defensive side, it takes up the highest percentage of your game. That's not his forte, but he's done okay, he'll be happy enough
  16. Murray on for Allan

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

It's not been a day when Scott Allan could show his forward-going skills in midfield against his former club and the midfielder is replaced by Hibs head coach Jack Ross. On comes 20-year-old Fraser Murray.

  17. Odsonne goal in two

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

Odsonne Edouard's 15th goal of the season has all but clinched the three points for Celtic.

  18. Post update

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

A chance for Hibs as Jason Naismith plays on from Martin Boyle's cross and Florian Kamberi can only shoot into the side-netting.

  19. Griffiths and Horgan on

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

That was Odsonne Edouard's last kick of the ball and on comes Leigh Griffiths up front.

Hibs have also taken off a striker, with winger Daryl Horgan on for Christian Doidge.

  20. Post update

    Celtic 2-0 Hibernian

    Billy Dodds

    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

Quote Message: Forrest was wide and open on that right hand side and it was a lovely pick out for him to pass to Edouard
