  1. Record-breakers

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

With 61 points from 21 games, Liverpool have made the best-ever start to a Premier League season.

    .
  2. FULL-TIME

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    All over!

Liverpool hold on to go 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

An absolutely ridiculous lead at this stage of the season.

  3. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Son Heung-min fires straight at Alisson. Was that the final chance for Spurs? Seconds left...

  4. SUBSTITUTION

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Xherdan Shaqiri gets a couple of minutes as he replaces Mo Salah.

Three minutes of additional time for Liverpool to hold on.

  5. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Chance for Liverpool to make the final few minutes considerably more comfortable as Divock Origi skips a couple of challenges on the edge of the box but then shoots straight at Paulo Gazzaniga.

  6. 'Brilliant discipline from Liverpool'

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    Bradley Allen

Tottenham Hotspur academy coach on BBC Radio London

The discipline there from Liverpool was brilliant. They retreated immediately.

They know the state of the game, they don't want to concede a late equaliser here.

  7. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

A moment of excitement for Kyle (7:12pm) as Erik Lamela gets a shot off on goal but it is straight down Alisson's throat.

  8. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Andy Robertson leaves a foot in on Toby Alderweireld but escapes a caution again.

Liverpool were their usual dominant self in the first half but really haven't been at the races in the second period. If they hold on for victory Jurgen Klopp will breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Patrick Brennan: How do you actually miss that? Like, geometrically - how?!

  10. 'He almost caught it too well'

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    Bradley Allen

Tottenham Hotspur academy coach on BBC Radio London

It's lovely football. Great switch of play from Son and the cross was curled round the back of the defence by Aurier.

It’s not an easy technique. Lo Celso’s almost caught it too well and he’s turned it the wrong side of the post.

Kyle Kowal: Lamela to snatch it calling it now.

  12. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Oh how!? How did that not go in!?

Serge Aurier whips in a superb ball that is begging to be turned in at the back post by Giovani Lo Celso but he somehow stabs it across the goal and wide. Terrible miss.

Jose Mourinho can only smile in shock at how Lo Celso did not score there. The very definition of easier to score than miss.

SMS Message: Why is everyone attacking Mourinho? You can criticise all you want but Spurs are playing the best team in the world who haven't lost a game all season. He needs to make some transfers and be given time. If he still can't get results after that then maybe you might have a semi-decent argument! from Lee

SMS Message: It wasn't a red for Robertson because he won the ball and his foot followed the laws of physics. People are really desperate to hate Liverpool right now. from Andy, Dee

  14. 'Relentless'

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    Bradley Allen

Tottenham Hotspur academy coach on BBC Radio London

When it's hit long from Gazzaniga and Spurs go from back to front, the midfield players have to run fully 50 yards to catch up with play.

Whether they can keep doing that is the question. The game is being played at a relentless pace.

  15. SUBSTITUTION

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Giovani Lo Celso whips the ball into the box but there's no Tottenham player there to get on the end of it.

Still, this is a strong finish by the hosts and Jurgen Klopp refreshes his attack by sending on Divock Origi for Sadio Mane.

  16. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Georginio Wijnaldum goes down too easily on the edge of the Tottenham box and the hosts work the ball quickly up the pitch but Lucas Moura's touch lets him down just as he is about to shoot.

SMS Message: Everybody wants Liverpool to fail and everybody says all the VAR and ref decisions are going for us. Some we win some we lose. Please don't try and discredit this awesome side ... yes I am a Liverpool supporter. from Dave Gainsborough

SMS Message: Spurs fans moaning about so-called tactical fouls should direct their attention to the fact that their team can't press for longer than five minutes without needing to recover and rest. That's why you're huffing and puffing and not scoring. from Adam

SMS Message: RE: 6.51pm Ayman - All down to jealousy that teams can't cope with the press, speed and all round outstanding play from one of the best teams in play in the Premier League. People will say VAR had a hand in what Liverpool do but it's the same for all teams. from Andy, Bath

  18. Foul play

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

There has been a lot of talk about fouls in this game on social media.

This just in from Opta: "Tottenham have conceded just a single foul in this game - Japhet Tanganga on Sadio Mane in the first half."

Question to Tottenham fans - does that show you are a clean team or are lacking bite?

  19. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool are uncharacteristically sloppy in possession at the moment and Tottenham are just starting to believe they can snatch something from this.

  20. 'They dallied on the ball'

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    Bradley Allen

Tottenham Hotspur academy coach on BBC Radio London

That was the big moment for Spurs. They just dallied on the ball for too long.

They sprung the trap through Lo Celso and Moura’s ball to Son was perfect. Alexander-Arnold just did enough to put him off.
