  3. Post update

    FT: Rangers 2-1 Motherwell

Motherwell sit fourth after their second defeat on the spin.

Manager Stephen Robinson will be frustrated to lose but will be happier with the spirit shown after a surprise 3-0 capitulation to Aberdeen last week.

The Steelmen now have two home games to look forward to, against Kilmarnock and Livingston.

  4. Rangers grind it out

    FT: Rangers 2-1 Motherwell

Rangers had to come from behind today after Devante Cole struck first for Motherwell.

James Tavernier hit the post with a penalty but Jermain Defoe pounced to level the game in first half stoppage time.

The hosts pushed and pushed and finally found the winner when Filip Helander nodded in from a Tavernier corner.

  5. FULL-TIME Rangers 2-1 Motherwell

Not a vintage performance from Rangers but fans won't be overly concerned with three points in the bag.

Steven Gerrard's side move level on points with Celtic at the top of the Premiership but lose a bit of ground in the goal difference column.

Simple. James Tavernier delivers a corner from the right and Swedish defender Filip Helander is there to power in a header.

That's his first goal for the Ibrox club since arriving from Serie A in the summer.

  10. Post update

    Rangers 1-1 Motherwell

Alfredo Morelos is in the thick of things now, seeking a 17th goal of the season. He collects a great pass from Steven Davis but is crowded out by a cluster of Motherwell defenders.

  11. Rangers call for Morelos

    Rangers 1-1 Motherwell

With the minutes ticking by, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard sends for top scorer Alfredo Morelos, with Joe Aribo withdrawn.

The Colombian striker almost makes an immediate impact, swinging in a great cross that Jermain Defoe just can't reach.

  12. Can the Steelmen hold on?

    Rangers 1-1 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson is urging his men to keep their heads and keep their shape at Ibrox.

Could the visitors snatch a first league win at Ibrox since May 1997?

Something tells me he'd be happy with a point at this stage.
