    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Roberto Firmino's header is punched away by Kasper Schmeichel before the Leicester keeper gets up quickly to push Mo Salah's shot onto the post.

It wouldn't have counted if it had gone in with the flag up for offside but it further underlines Liverpool's dominance.

Have Leicester left a couple of players in the dressing room? They look so short of Liverpool at the moment.

  2. Leicester fans impatient

    Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at The King Power Stadium

First signs of frustration from Leicester City's fans as the pattern has continued in this second half. Liverpool are simply pressing and passing them in to submission and the Foxes are short of ideas and threat.

This has been consummate from the Premier League leaders so far.

  3. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Dennis Praet loses the ball by the corner flag and Andy Robertson whips in a cross for Roberto Firmino, but he pokes his effort just wide of the goal.

Leicester just cannot get the ball off a dominant Liverpool side at the moment.

  4. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold fizzes in a low cross from the right. Roberto Firmino is lurking but Caglar Soyuncu just about manages to stab the ball away from the Liverpool forward.

    All Liverpool.

  5. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Mo Salah tries to clip the ball into the net following a short corner from Liverpool but he misjudges the distance and his effort lands behind the goal.

  6. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Leicester have given the ball away a surprising amount of times in this game. Not good against any opponent but especially against the league leaders.

Ricardo Pereira is the latest to squander possession before Trent Alexander-Arnold floats a ball towards the far post for Andy Robertson but he is just beaten to it by Pereira.

Kuni: Henderson has been good but my word how excellent was Gomez that half! Absolute immense to keep the inform striker in the league quiet!

SMS Message: Top of the league or not Rogers is showing far too much respect to his old side. It's practically a flat 5 midfield and Vardy is isolated up top. Get Maddison in the middle and let him find those pockets of space to feed Vardy before the game is out of sight. from Dean
  8. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Better from Leicester as Youri Tielemans finds space 30 yards from goal. He takes a few steps towards the box before shooting but his shot is blocked by Joe Gomez.

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Leicester get the second half up and running.

No changes for either side at the break.

  10. McTominay 'probably' out for Burnley

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Scott McTominay is likely to miss Manchester United's trip to Burnley on Saturday.

McTominay left Old Trafford on crutches but the full extent of the damage will not be known until tomorrow.

"He has done his ligament in the knee but we don’t know how bad," he said.

"He had the biggest heart of the lot. He got injured early but he played until half-time. We are not sure if he will be fit for Saturday. Probably not."

SMS Message: Leicester are a great team but they are having to play their best football just to tread water. That's why Liverpool are running away with the league. Different class. from Adam Whittaker
    Adam Whittaker
SMS Message: I think the single most impressive thing about this Liverpool team is their patience in building an attack. If there's not an immediate opening, they don't just try something speculative and risky, like many teams - instead, they keep the ball, play it back, and look for something more promising. It is such a mature approach and so far in this game, is completely stifling an excellent Leicester City side. from Tim, Marlow

  12. Deja vu

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

There were no shots for Leicester in first half. That's the second time this has happened for them in the Premier League this season. The first time? Also against Liverpool...

SMS Message: As there's only one goal in it this game ain't over, but in general and not just tonight, there's a real purpose and composure to Liverpool that will make them worthy champions. Superb. from Jim
  14. Liverpool a class apart

    Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at The King Power Stadium

Liverpool have been hugely dominant. The scoreline does not reflect how much better than Leicester City they were in that first 45 minutes.

They pushed Leicester City back right away and manager Jurgen Klopp's only complaint will be they are not further ahead.

Brendan Rodgers might actually settle for only being one behind at half-time.

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

And there's the whistle for half-time.

Liverpool, so far, are strolling their way to a 13-point lead at the top of the table.

  16. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Just the one minute of time added on at the end of what has been a very comfortable half for Liverpool.

  17. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool casually play out from the back despite a number of Leicester players in close attention. They make it look so effortless that you feel foolish for even thinking they are going to fluff it and concede possession in a dangerous area.

Qaaltagh: This Liverpool side are going to go unbeaten in the league this season. Can see a record points haul too. They're sensational. Far, far better than Leicester who will be lucky to finish top 3 come May.

SMS Message: Poor tactics by Rodgers. He's just gone for exactly the same plan as the last game, which inevitably Klopp has had time to work out how to counter. from Baz, Bristol

  19. Post update

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Naby Keita plays a one-two with Sadio Mane to drive his way into the box but Caglar Soyuncu gets across to make the tackle and prevent Keita making it 2-0.
