  1. No forgone conclusions

    Charlton fans celebrate

Expect the unexpected. That's the message to take away from Saturday's EFL action this afternoon.

Take all-conquering Leeds going down at Charlton, coached by wily ex-Whites midfielder Lee Bowyer and Reading sneaking a late equaliser at Swansea to deny them top spot.

Six goals at Preston in their game at Bristol City, where the points were shared.

How about Sunderland not drawing 1-1 (just kidding Wearsiders...) or Exeter being undone at Grimsby?

If today's rollercoaster of incident and excitement was not enough for you, then why not be greedy? We've Brentford versus Barnsley from the Championship, epecially for you, tomorrow.

Join us from 13:15 BST. Until then. Cheers for sticking with us today. Take care. Goodbye.

  2. Championship top six

    Top six

So after all the mayhem of the 15:00 BST kick-offs, it's West Bromwich Albion, who beat Queens Park Rangers in today's early game, who will end the weekend top of the Championship.

Swansea City, Leeds United and Preston United all had the chance to snatch top spot but failed to win.

Charlton Athletic move into the top six after that fine win over Leeds.

  3. League Two headlines

    • Stevenage miss chance to move off the bottom of League Two after conceding late equaliser at home to Cambridge while Morecambe fight back to level 2-2 against Northampton.
    • Leaders Exeter well beaten 3-1 at home by Grimsby, second-placed Cheltenham play out 1-1 draw against third-placed Crewe.
    • Forest Green thrash Salford 4-0 at Peninsula Stadium to move fourth while Newport beat Swindon 2-0 away from home.
  4. League One headlines

    • Ipswich survive a scare from Tranmere as they push on to win 4-1 at Portman Road and bolster their position at the top of League One.
    • Wycombe's 3-0 win at Rochdale moves them second, while Fleetwood's comfortable 3-0 win against Shrewsbury moves them to third
    • AFC Wimbledon fight back but lose 3-2 at Peterborough but remain second from bottom and just above Bolton, who lost 1-0 away at Portsmouth, while Southend lose 1-0 against Accrington
  5. Championship headlines

    Lee Bowyer
    • Swansea City miss the chance to go top of the Championship as Reading score a late equaliser at the Liberty Stadium.
    • Lee Bowyer's Charlton Athletic beat Leeds United, while Preston North End twice come from behind to draw 3-3 at home to Bristol City.
    • Derby County end a testing week with a 3-2 win at home to Birmingham City, with Jamie Paterson's goal giving the Rams victory.
  6. Post update

Right, with our 15:00 BST kick-offs all having just about reached full-time, here's your close-of-play headlines...

    Preston 3-3 Bristol City

    Preston v Bristol City

A superb game ends with the points shared, as Preston twice come from behind to deny Bristol City a first win in 13 meetings between the sides.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Millwall

Huddersfield have to settle for a point and their winless run goes on to 19 league games after this draw with fellow strugglers Millwall.

There were positives, but the fact is they need to start winning although they're off the bottom on goal difference. Millwall are up to 17th.

    Middlesbrough 1-4 Sheff Wed

Happy return to the Riverside for ex-Boro boss Garry Monk who sees his Sheffield Wednesday side thrash his former employers 4-1.

After Adam Clayton's own goal got the ball rolling, Dominic Iorfa, Adam Reach and Steven Fletcher put the result beyond doubt, despite a Paddy McNair goal for the Teessiders.

Pressure on Jonathan Woodgate now? The hometown boss is struggling to get results right now, and this was a home humbling.

    Blackburn 1-2 Luton

A superb win for Luton Town, who end their two-game winless run with victory at Blackburn Rovers.

    Charlton 1-0 Leeds

High-fliers Leeds lose away from home for the first time this season thanks to a massive goal from Macauley Bonne - who extends Charlton's remarkable run of home form.

Lee Bowyer's side defended manfully, with goalkeeper Dillon Phillips inspired to keep out the visitors' dangerous strikeforce.

No top of the table place for Leeds tonight, missed opportunity.

    Hull 2-2 Cardiff

    Hull v Cardiff

All over at the KCOM and is that a point gained or two points lost for Hull against Cardiff after those late goals?

Hull pressure for a dramatic late winner through George Honeyman but it's cleared off the line by Aden Flint.

    Charlton 1-0 Leeds

Dillon Phillips is earning his win bonus. Massive save to keep Leeds out in added time.

Is that enough for the three points?

    Swansea 1-1 Reading

Andy Yiadom rescues a point for struggling Reading late on, who despite their winless run stretching to five games, at least avoid defeat.

Swansea thought they'd won in before Yiadom's late contribution, after a first-half goal from Borja Baston had lifted the Liberty.

Points shared, and the Swans miss the chance to go to the top of the table.

    Derby 3-2 Birmingham

    Jamie Paterson

After a horrible week off the field, Derby end it with three key points on it thanks to Jamie Paterson's late goal. It's only their second win of the season.

Birmingham had done brilliantly to fight back in the game after Chris Martin and Martyn Waghorn had put the Rams in front, thanks to goals from Gary Gardner and Ivan Sunjic.

Paterson wins it for Derby though, with Lukas Jutkiewicz's penalty miss before it proving costly for the Blues.

  16. Leagues One and Two update

A flurry of late goals in Leagues One and Two.

Coventry have levelled late on against Doncaster in League One while in the fourth tier, Morecambe have levelled against Northampton thanks to Kevin Ellison while Josh Payne has found a second consolation for Crawley against Walsall.

  17. GOAL: Hull 2-2 Cardiff

    Danny Ward (92 mins)

    Hold the phone, folks.

Cardiff have found a smash and grab leveller at the KCOM Stadium. Danny Ward links on to Aden Flint's delivery to coolly slot home.

Three minutes remain for either side to find a winner.

  18. GOAL: Swansea 1-1 Reading

    Andy Yiadom (90 mins)

What a gamesaver for Reading, and it's Andy Yiadom who surely denies Swansea three points with a late strike.

Drilled beyond Freddie Woodman to level.

  19. GOAL: Hull 2-1 Cardiff

    Jordy de Wijs (89 mins)

A dramatic late winner for Hull, surely!

Jordy de Wijs heads into the bottom left corner from Jarrod Bowen's cross from a set piece and the hosts lead with a minute of normal time to spare.

  20. League Two update

Heartbreak for Stevenage as they can't see their lead through against Cambridge. After Jason Cowley had given the hosts the lead early on, Sam Smith (not that one) has levelled for Cambridge.

That goal means they slip to the bottom of League Two once, more. Reprieve for Morecambe.
