The Africa Cup of Nations semi-final line-up will be confirmed tomorrow when Ivory Coast play Algeria (17:00 BST) and minnows Madagascar take on Tunisia (20:00).

Thanks for your company. Until tomorrow...

    Nigeria 2-1 South Africa

Anyone fancy Nigeria to go all the way and win Afcon?

They've certainly demonstrated impressive character in the last two rounds - coming from behind to knock out holders Cameroon and then scoring an 89th minute winner against South Africa.

The Super Eagles will now meet Ivory Coast or Algeria in the semi-finals in Cairo on Sunday. South Africa are going home.

South Africa forgetting the first rule of defending set play - whatever you do, don’t leave a man unmarked in the centre of the penalty area. Just don’t do it.

    Nigeria 2-1 South Africa

    Nigeria are into the semi-finals!

  5. Post update

    Nigeria 2-1 South Africa

Jaw-dropping drama inside the Cairo International Stadium!

A South Africa equaliser out of nowhere after a VAR check followed by an 89th minute goal to put Nigeria back ahead.

    We're deep into stoppage time.

  6. Post update

    Nigeria 2-1 South Africa

    Four minutes of added time.

  7. GOAL - Nigeria 2-1 South Africa

    William Troost-Ekong

    Incredible drama!

Heartbreak for South Africa, utter joy for Nigeria.

A lovely corner is whipped in by substitute Moses Simon and keeper Ronwen Williams misses his punch allowing William Troost-Ekong to score off his knee!

  8. Post update

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

No doubt about it, that equaliser has knocked the stuffing out of Nigeria.

Suddenly, South Africa look more sharper and dangerous.

  9. Post update

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

South Africa lost two of their three group games.

They are five minutes away from forcing extra-time in a game where the winners will be one victory from the final.

Absolutely all about VAR spotting that the ball into scorer Bongani Zungu came off the back of a Nigeria head - therefore rendering him not offside. Well...

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

    Big change for Nigeria.

Ahmed Musa has been replaced by Moses Simon.

    Fresh legs for extra-time ?

  12. Post update

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

Three attempts on target, two goals, and extra-time looming.

The Africa Cup of Nations is the gift that keeps on giving...

  13. Post update

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

Oh boy, VAR is already making a huge impact at Afcon.

It has only been introduced at the quarter-final stage and already Sadio Mane has had two goals disallowed for Senegal - and South Africa have been awarded a goal.

There's never a dull moment when VAR comes to the party!

    Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

    Hang on!

Bongani Zungu sends a wonderful header into the net following a set-piece but immediately there is a VAR check.

Replays show the ball came off the back of Nigeria's Odion Ighalo before Zungu planted his header.

There's a delay of two or three minutes before South Africa's celebrations really get started.

  15. GOAL - Nigeria 1-1 South Africa

    Bongani Zungu

    Superb header by Bongani Zungu.

    But was there an offside?

  16. Post update

    Nigeria 1-0 South Africa

Remember, South Africa did not score against Egypt in the previous round until the 85th minute.

No sign of panic from them yet but the clock is ticking.

  17. Post update

    Nigeria 1-0 South Africa

    Ben Sutherland

    BBC World Service

There is something brutally sapping about a team like South Africa in this position. Still only a goal down, but more exhausted with every thrust forward, leaving ever more space behind. Their reach right now exceeds their grasp.

  18. Post update

    Nigeria 1-0 South Africa

Another shot by South Africa which again fails to trouble Daniel Akpeyi. Nigeria's keeper has had a very quiet night so far as Bafana Bafana have struggled to carve out serious chances.

    Nigeria 1-0 South Africa

Percy Tau is the latest to pick up a caution after sending Ahmed Musa to the ground. To say Tau is not happy is an understatement. The South Africa forward is arguing with the referee.

  20. Post update

    Nigeria 1-0 South Africa

Half an hour left for South Africa to manufacture a first shot on target - and goal - to stay in the Africa Cup of Nations.
