Lionel Messi has already said he won't be retiring and hopefully the sending off won't change his mind.

That was only the second time he has been sent off in his career, with his only other red card coming on his international debut 14 years ago. He was sent off after just fives minutes then!

  10. Post update

    Argentina 2-1 Chile

Angel di Maria is suddenly away down the left and there's not many red shirts in that half of the pitch. He gets towards the edge of the area and spots Sergio Aguero in loads of space on the other side of the box.

His pass is under hit, Aguero just manages to get there but Arias has the time to close the gap and make the save from Aguero's chipped effort.
