Live Reporting

By Matthew Howarth

All times stated are UK

  1. Goodbye

The last time Algeria won all three group matches at the Africa Cup of Nations - in 1990 - they went on to win the tournament!

The Fennec Foxes are joined in the last 16 by Senegal, who ultimately proved too strong for Kenya.

Thanks for your company this evening. Until next time!

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Algeria advance to the knockout stages with their perfect record in tact.

    Kenya 0-3 Senegal

Senegal are through to the last 16, while Kenya face a nervous wait to find out if they can make it through as one of the four best third-placed teams.

  4. Post update

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Hichem Badaoui fires across goal towards the back post, where Islam Slimani is standing in acres of space.

Badaoui's cross-shot evades everyone, though, and Tanzania have a goal-kick. That might well be the last meaningful action of the evening.

  5. CLOSE!

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Adi Yussuf should do a lot better there, too.

Algeria have switched off at the back and Tanzania almost take full advantage, but the Blackpool man sends his header over the crossbar.

He has to hit the target from there.

  6. CLOSE!

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Almost a consolation for Tanzania, but it's a poor finish from Bocco.

The substitute is left unmarked at the back post but fires straight into the side-netting from point-blank range.

  7. Post update

    Kenya 0-3 Senegal

Senegal are pushing for a fourth.

Sadio Mane runs on to a clever pass inside the area and tries to cut it back across goal, but the Kenyan defence are alert to the danger.

Less than five minutes of normal time remaining in both games.

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Tanzania make their final change, replacing Feisal Salum with John Bocco.

  9. Post update

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Mbwana Samatta tries to find Adi Yussuf in the area but his ball across the face of goal has too much power on it.

Yussuf was a yard offside anyway.

  10. 'Perfectly executed'

    Kenya 0-3 Senegal

    Murray Burnell

    BBC Sport Africa

“A gift for Senegal and a gift for Mane to get another crack at taking a penalty after the miss in the first half.

“Much easier for him when the pressure is off and his side are leading, but it was perfectly executed this time around.”

  11. GOAL - Kenya 0-3 Senegal

    Sadio Mane

This time Mane makes no mistake, firing low into the bottom corner to make it 3-0.

Patrick Matasi guessed the right way but there was too much power behind the Liverpool man's effort.

Senegal are heading through to the last 16.

    Kenya 0-2 Senegal

Philemon Otieno is shown a second yellow card for a high, studs-up challenge on Ismaila Sarr. It was a poor one to say the least.

Mane has a chance to redeem himself from the resulting spot-kick.

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Hichem Boudaoui is cautioned for a late challenge on Himid Mao.

Riyad Mahrez enters the fray moments later, replacing Adam Ounas.

The 22-year-old is given a standing ovation on his way down the tunnel.

  14. Post update

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Riyad Mahrez is going to get a run out in Cairo.

  15. GOAL - Kenya 0-2 Senegal

    Sadio Mane

Oh dear. Kenya defender Musa Mohammed will not want to see that again.

A long punt forward catches him out, admittedly with a little help from a Sadio Mane nudge, allow the Liverpool forward a clean run at goal.

    And he doesn't miss those.

    Kenya 0-1 Senegal

The yellow cards are racking up.

Senegal's Sadio Mane and Kenya's Joseph Okumu have both gone in to the book in the last few minutes for agricultural tackles.

  17. Post update

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Another half-chance for Algeria goes begging as Islam Slimani scoops an effort ever the crossbar from the edge of the box.

Slimani had time and space to pick his spot. He'll be disappointed he didn't test Metacha Mnata there.

  18. 'Typical finish from Sarr'

    Kenya 0-1 Senegal

BBC Sport Africa's Babacar Diarra: "A typical finish from Ismaila Sarr – he only seems to score great goals, as we saw in the Europa League last season for Stade Rennais.

"His goal came just moments after Kenya had their best chance of the game and they’ll find it tough to come back from this."

  19. Post update

    Tanzania 0-3 Algeria

Mohamed Fares almost makes it four from a tight angle but Metacha Mnata makes the save, tipping the ball on to the post.

It was a smart save by the Tanzania keeper but Fares should have done better from that position.

  20. GOAL - Kenya 0-1 Senegal

    Ismaila Sarr

Brilliant from Ismaila Sarr. The Rennes forward volleys back over his shoulder into the top right corner but what was Patrick Matasi doing there?

The Kenya keeper has been superb this evening but he went walkabout there.
