  1. Gonna need a bigger cabinet...

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

    Manchester City

Vincent Kompany lofts the FA Cup over his head to unleash the ticker tape and cue Hey Jude over the speakers.

Manchester City have won the lot on the home front this season. Liverpool, Watford and Chelsea came up short when it mattered...

  2. 'It's sad it ends this way for Watford'

    Man City 6-0 Watford

    Jermaine Jenas

    Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC One

Watford have gone from strength to strength this season. They've found a team which has given them foundations and that they can build on now.

It's sad for them that it ends this way but they've had a fine season.

  3. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

Is this the final act in a CIty shirt for Vincent Kompany?

I'm sure he'll do one more season at least. But it wouldn't be the worst way to bow out. He leads his side up to collect the trophy from Prince William.

    Vincent Kompany
  4. 'City have six!'

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

Raheem Sterling gets in on the act again as he follows in the rebound to score a sensational sixth for Manchester City.

Alan Ferguson: Thankfully that FA Cup is over with and we can concentrate on today’s main event Eurovision where I’m sticking £20 on Raheem Sterling to turn up, sing Champage Supernova and romp it.

  6. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

What next for Manchester City? They need a left-back, a midfielder to replace Fernandinho at some point, a centre-back to replace Vincent Kompany at some point and to win the Champions League.

But they've just won the FA Cup final 6-0 without even asking Sergio Aguero to warm up and they've won back-to-back Premier Leagues with a combined points haul of 198.

    Not too bad...

  7. 'It feels like an honour'

    Man City 6-0 Watford

    Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne speaking to BBC: "This week was more relaxed. The first half was a little bit edgy but obviously with the 2-0 advantage, in the second half we played great, scored four goals and had more chances. What a great way to end the season.

"It feels like an honour. After the Tottenham injury, mentally I was done. But after a couple of days I really wanted to be back with the team to win the title."

Kelly: Congratulations to Manchester City, for slaughtering Watford in the FA Cup final and winning the treble, becoming the first team in history to win the English treble and the scary thing is they could easily be just as good next year.

  9. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

Watford go up to collect their loser's medals. A very high percentage of Watford fans have stayed behind to see it, and quite right too.

  10. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

    Ian Wright

Former Arsenal striker on BBC One

City are an unbelievable team. I don't begrudge City at all. Those fans know bad times. They have been through the lower divisions. It has come full circle for them - the success and the manager of course. It is brilliant to watch. I feel for Watford because they have come up against the best.

  11. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

    Chris Waddle

Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Man City are just an outstanding side, probably one of the best we’ve ever seen. They will just kick on and kick on. They could win the cups and league for the next five to 10 years.

  12. 'We're running out of words to describe them'

    Man City 6-0 Watford

    Alan Shearer

Former Newcastle and England striker on BBC One

"The most impressive thing about Man City is that when they're winning 3-0 and 4-0 and they've still got the desire to keep going and keep punishing their opponents. It's almost cruel.

"We're running out of words to describe them with."

  15. 'A dream come true'

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

    Manchester City

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling speaking to BBC on whether he scored the first goal: "I don't have a scooby-doo. The boys did brilliant. My goals added to the win. It was brilliant from everyone.

"I grew up here and saw this stadium get built. It's a massive dream come true to win trophies here.

"It shows what the manager is building here. He said we needed to get the mentality right and we did that and did it exceptionally well.

"It's been a long season with the World Cup as well but everyone has been on their A-game and come through."

  16. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

    Chris Waddle

Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

On their day Watford are a very good side but they are massively inconsistent. City made them look like a pub team.

  17. 'What a tremendous club'

    Man City 6-0 Watford

    Manchester City

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany on BBC One: "As soon as we scored the two goals it opened up the game for us and we were able to make more chances. It wasn't as easy as the score makes it look. But what a season, what a tremendous club.

"It started with the manager, he sets the standard at the start of the season and said we had to go back to back.

"It's the best team in the world for me. To set such a high standard for so long - not just for one year but two years running now. What a club, what a privilege."

  18. Post update

I make that 17 major honours in 10 years for Pep Guardiola.

How did Tottenham beat them over two legs without Harry Kane?! Some effort.

  19. Post update

    Manchester City 6-0 Watford

There's a City fan on the pitch, tackled, as the Watford fans applaud their players for their efforts today, and all season.

Those fans have been magnificent today. They probably carried little hope of a win today but they will think back to that Roberto Pereyra chance and wonder what if...

    Still a good season.
